As such, we would like to take this time to discuss our vision for Bright Oaks going forward. We are committed to providing a warm, caring and nurturing environment that respects the dignity of our residents. We have seen online comments regarding Bright Oaks, many positive and a few negative, but all equally important.
Here at Bright Oaks, our Family Members live each day like it matters. Because it does. We live a life rich with social interaction, mental stimulation, and personal growth in a community of people who have similar interests-a vibrant life full of new experiences and lasting memories with their new Family Members.
As we age, our bodies become less capable and sometimes need assistance doing things that used to be easy. At Bright Oaks, we have the perfect solution-we call it Assisted Independence, with the emphasis on Independence. With Assisted Independence, our Family Members don't have to give up control of their lives.
New Journeys Memory Care neighborhoods. Bright Oaks Memory Care is so different we gaveit a special name-New Journeys-because every day is a self-fulfilling new journey for each Family Member. Our New Journeys neighborhoods are designed to keep their members active and social through evidence-based approaches, including music, art, interaction, and other forms of neurocognitive stimulation that encourages the brain to continue working hard.
Bright Oaks is not a hotel, nor is it a nursing home to house the elderly. It is literally a large, living community of households and neighborhoods where many people come together to form a team, or family, comprised of exceptional people of all ages. Some people come here to live as "Family Members", while others come to work as "Extended Family Members" of that same family.
