Bogey's Restaurant is part of the historic Hotel DeFuniak in equally historic DeFuniak Springs. The hotel, worth an article itself, is a throwback to the old fashioned, small-sized and privately owned establishments that offered guests breakfast, lunch and dinner, all in the same building, without the need to search out the town for places to eat.

I ordered 2 steak dinners, since they were hand select and Angus beef. To my surprise they were the worst cuts of beef! All fat and very tough! Service was poor also! Maybe the other items on the menu are edible, but I have a problem when I pay over 70 for a couple dinners and you can't eat them! I did tell the waitress and all she could say was sorry! A very disappointing evening!

I visited this restaurant for the first time, last night and from the moment I walked in through the door I felt very welcomed.
The atmosphere is relaxing and warm, the staff are very friendly, attentive and you can see they’re genuine happiness as they work.
I had the Lorenzo, which was outstanding! The food was hot when I got it and seasoned perfectly, there was no need to add anything to it. You can tell they use fresh quality ingredients. And! The portions are plenty, I ended up taking at least half of it home.

I work at the Century 21 Blue Marlin Pelican office right next door & Bogey's is my FAV lunch spot! I always get my food to go and just bring it back to my desk. The server (Joshua I believe?) is always super friendly and attentive! Bogey's has great lunch specials and their prices are good, too. This is a great spot in Defuniak and if I am ever around during dinner hours, I would love to try it out.

Ate there tonight. I had NY strip, ordered medium rare. It was medium at best. Waited for the server to return so I could ask for steak sauce to add some flavor to my over cooked steak. My wife finished her meal (she's a very slow eater). My steak was cold, I complained and asked for my bill. Nearly $70 and I left 2/3 of my steak on the plate!

Great food, great staff and wonderful ambiance. I think this place is a 5 star place to eat and hang out. Downstairs bar and restaurant is a little more formal and the upstairs area is more laid back and casual. Nice upstairs patio which is out doors. Must eats include friend green tomatoes, house salads and fresh bread and butter. Owner operated and a excellent food quality and presentation. Live music Saturday nights from 6PM to 9PM. Say hi to Brie, Brittany and Michele the owner. They are a friendly and professional staff that makes everyone feel welcome!
