Services
Given our unique and collaborative approach, you and your pet will receive the attention you deserve. At our full-service veterinary clinic, we offer generalized pet care, including, but not limited to, a wide variety of diagnostic services, x-ray examinations, surgical procedures, vaccinations, as well as routine checkups and in-house pharmacy.
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. We will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Allegan Animal Clinic for service. Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
When was the last time you had your cat's teeth cleaned? According to the AVMA, pets who have never had a teeth cleaning have signs of dental disease by the time they are three years old. For that reason, Allegan Animal Clinic recommends that all pets, including your feline companions, have a yearly dental cleaning and oral examination.
Blood tests are an essential part of diagnosing what is ailing your pet, just as they are in human medicine. Blood tests can tell the veterinarian a myriad of things, from whether your cat is dehydrated to whether he or she has anemia to whether they are suffering from cancer.
The hemoglobin concentration test measures the oxygen-carrying capacity of your cat's blood, and the red blood cell count can tell your vet how well your feline's body is functioning.Testing the white blood cells is equally useful. A high white blood cell count is indicative of infection, whereas a low white blood cell count can mean a weakened immune system.

The Staff at Allegan Animal Clinic are Amazing. Dr. VanDenBrink has taken care of my familys precious pets for years. I could not imagine going any where else for my familys pets care. They were so Caring when I had to let my Max go to doggie heaven a few weeks ago.
