Services
Adding an extra 5 to 10 minutes before each of your workouts with warm ups will prevent injury and lessen fatigue. We recommend pre-exercise warm-ups and stretches to benefit your overall health. When you take the time to do this before working out, blood moves faster through your arteries and veins, which gradually leads to working muscles.

No need to worry about the condition of the pool anymore. It has been filled in with concrete as has the hot tub. The new L A Fitness on East Ave. is wonderful! Highly recommend a change to a REAL health club.

I would strongly recommend NOT getting into the swimming pool unless you like water that is the yellow color of an unflushed toilet bowl. When I complained I was told by Gabby (the club manager) that when she back-flushes (toilet reference?) the sand filters the sand gets into the water and makes it that color. I somehow have to doubt that sand would remain suspended in the water

I didn't like this gym for a few reasons. 1. The gym is essentially in a basement which provides a drab atmosphere. 2. The men's locker room is never cleaned and always dirty. Including the locker cabinets where you store your belongings. I hated storing anything in them. 3. The staff is unfriendly and complacent. 4. Upon giving notice that I would not renew my membership at the end of the year. They didn't care as to reasons why I would not want to renew. It is bad business practice indeed if you don't care about retaining clients. And that was the impression I received. I

I visited here and attended a class to see if this health club would fit my needs. I felt the person at the desk to whom I was to refer my inquiries seemed to not connect what I had asked. She asked, "what "level" of membership was I interested in participating?" I had not been given any information. It was assumed I "knew" everything. How how could I answer when she had not told me what "levels" there were as choices?

I am very low maintenance when it comes to where I go for anything. I am one to look for a good deal and at the time I thought this place would be perfect. It was close to us, had plenty of equipment varying from machines and free weights to heavy bags and rubber plates. They had a special going on for the summer so my girlfriend and I thought it would be perfect.

The members were nice, had no problem with waiting for equipment or sharing. It's clean, and overall not a bad gym to workout

As far as the staff..

They were very unwelcoming when you check in, reminding us numerous times of

Nice, old gym. This place has been here since I was a child. I'd make this a Rochester historical site LOL. Has a gym, basketball court, swimming pool. Staff is nice. Clean towels. I'd just wish they stayed open later.

I love this gym! It's such a hidden gem I almost didn't write this review to keep it secret. It's so funky and unique. Every time period is represented in here from the early 1900's to current and I LOVE THAT! It's so unique and divied up like they added on as they went. It's got lots of private spaces to work out and it's amazing what they have to offer. The ladies also have access to a steam room and a sauna in the locker room. A locker room with a little living room and tv in it! It's just amazing. So glad we found it❤️

I cant believe someone would complain about the condition of that pool. I have been a member over 20 years and I can count on one hand the amount of time the pool was a little cloudy. Never Yellow. I have owned a 38 foot pool for over 30 years and you need a chemistry degree at times when allot of people swim to keep it clean. Hundreds of members swim everyday. Makeup, Oils, dirt and just a few things that effect the water condition of that 75 foot pool.
Gabrielle does a great job maintaining the high standards of that pool as well as the equipment in the Gym. Its a close family feeling at Harrow

Here is my experience and why I would not recommend harro east. I have been to gyms all over the world, even in third world countries, and never had an experience this horrific. It was actually mildly traumatizing. Firstly, I went there because there was a holiday sale advertised online, when I arrived the staff acted like that wasn't the case… and tried to charge me full price. I had to debate with them for a half an hour before they honored the advertised sale. The pool was all green and disguisting. The very first machine I got on was broken. Most of the equipment is old school and doesn

My first time at Harro East fitness today was a great experience. Gabrielle gave me a tour. She was very personable and the club has a lot to offer. It has a lot of character and an old school vibe (in the best way possible) down to the iron 45s in the weightlifting area. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a different feel from the national chains and more amenities than the local place.

By far, the most complete gym in terms of people and facilities. The staff is professional, highly educated and extremely knowledgeable. The gym itself has been newly renovated and I am always in peak physical condition, compared to other gyms, when I have trained here for extended periods of time. The gym is not over crowded. The members themselves are all great people. This gym has been an excellent place for me personally. I'm always welcomed. In short, it has been my home away from home for nearly 20 years.

Great place if you like clean, quite and a good variety of choices. It has large swimming pool, jacuzzi, 2 saunas, free weights, machines, cardio room, basketball court and a boxing room.
I like this place for variety of choices and that is never too busy.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a few weeks now, and we love it. There are lots of classes which are included with membership. My favorite thing is how large and spread out the facility is. I never feel crowded. Many different types of people at all different age and fitness levels, so no judgement or feeling out of place.

It's an old building whose age shows, but the people are very nice... especially Tom who is also an amazing yoga instructor. Go see him if you can!

I struggle with this place daily. I have a good rate and the facility is usually a ghost town when I workout so no complaints there. The problem is I have locker and laundry service which is starting to make little sense. My clothes have never been returned to the locker so I have to hunt down the housekeeping staff who apologize every time, yet nothing changes. I'm there every day - you'd think they'd something already!
Oh yeah, their cardio room is okay. They have an extensive weight room with multiple sets of free weights, plates, benches, machines and the like so you're never in anyone's way

Quiet, low-key gym with everything that I could ask for, as far as equipment and amenities. And the staff is friendly and responsive, to boot. They offer tons of classes, included in the price of the membership, so there is plenty to try.

I had a terrible experience here with an employee right after joining. I asked to be let out of my contract because as long as this person is still working there I do not feel comfortable attending anymore. I no longer use the gym but have to keep paying because they basically said that was too bad but did not offer to do anything about it and would not let me out of my contract.

I really love this gym! I transferred over from empire fitness and I love the options for classes. The have a ton of different classes at really great times. I hate when a gun doesn't have classes late enough at night. Also, the instructors remember you and make an effort to get to know you. The pool and locked rooms are great too. There is a ton of parking, so that is never an issue.

I took a tour today. The gym was really nice. It reminded me a lot of the RAC off winton that I used to attend, only they offer much more here!! the gym was super clean, the a/c was on a decent temp, the locker rooms are very nice, its set up more like a social thing than a bare bones in and out. I loved everything I saw!

They are offering an incentive to former members of a recently closed gym, and that makes the rates much more appealing.

Even though it will be 3times the price, if you take a tour, you will see why!! its so worth it I think, based on my first impression.

I will do the 3

I have been a member here for years....and can really only speak for the pool. I love this place. Is it old (and maybe even a little tired)? Yes, but you also don't have the high fees of the Fancy places either. I find the staff 'very friendly'. Parking close by and easy. The pool is great and very rarely are there more than 2 people in it, I love the fact that it's not over crowded. And, I find the fact that it is an older facility rather charming!

I love being a member at Harro East Athletic Club. The facility is HUGE and there is never a wait for a machine. The management staff is very friendly, as are the trainers and class instructors.

The facility itself offers a lot more than your typical Planet Fitness or LA Fitness. There is a gym for basketball and pickleball. There are several racquetball and squash courts. And of course, an olympic-sized swimming pool.

For me, the biggest benefit of being a member at Harro East is their ample free parking. There are four lots surrounding the building that members can park in.

I strongly recommend
