We provide specialty wound care services for all types of wounds, including but not limited to edema, ulcers, spider/insect bites, burns, abscesses, cysts, diabetic foot care, ostomies, fistulas, trauma, wound vacs, arterial & venous insufficiency, eczema, amputations, non-healing surgical wounds, wound dehiscence and various other wounds.

Wound care is our specialty, it accounts for more than 50% of the services provided at Yukon Wound Care & Rehab. Your initial appointment will start with a thorough interview & evaluation by Sherri Boos, PT, DPT. Sherri is a licensed physical therapist with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. She has over 20 years' experience in wound care.

Integrative dry needling is a highly effective form of physical therapy for the treatment of a multitude of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. It is not appropriate for all conditions or pathologies and the use of the technique will be at the discretion of your Physical therapist.

Integrative Dry Needling (IDN) is not acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine), it is based on neuroanatomy and modern scientific study of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.A very fine filament needle is inserted through the skin and into the deeper tissues that are considered trigger points to your pain.

Upon your initial evaluation your therapist will assess 3 systems that help maintain balance. After the evaluation a diagnosis and plan of care will be established to restore function and safety. The most common diagnosis we find causing falls is BPPV (benign proximal positional vertigo). Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) or dizziness is loose calcium particles in the inner ear.
