Dr. Chou is a San Francisco transplant from Southern California. She fell in love with the Bay Area while attending UC Berkeley, then spent the next few years in cheerful exile while earning her podiatric medical degree in windy Chicago.
As the office manager, Jessica oversees the daily operations and ensures that your experience at the office is a positive one. She first began working with Dr. Chou as the receptionist. Over time, she learned the ins and outs of what makes the practice run smoothly. Jessica graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in kinesiology and is happy to be near home as a Bay Area native.

Dr. Chou is professional and smart, but what makes her extra special is the profound level of caring she brings to her practice. She is so thorough in her examinations and conversations. I feel completely comfortable with her and very happy to have her as my podiatrist. Her staff is friendly, kind, patient and helpful, too. This is a terrific service for your feet- whatever shape they're in.

Dr Chou was not pleasant during my last two visits. She spent minimal amount of time with me, 10 minutes or so. When I got the bill from my insurance, her bill was not only not covered by insurance, and it amounts to over $300 for such a short visit. I am dismayed that she can charge so much to patients for doing so little. I feel sick about it actually. I don't recommend her.

Dr. Chou is clearly an experienced expert in the field. After just glancing at the way I stand, she was able to immediately identify my problem. Her and her staff (all-female from what I could tell--an added bonus!) are approachable and easy to get in touch with. I have called the office several times and have always been able to get in touch. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chou to a friend.

Upon arriving in the very comfortable office suite, the staff greeted me with warmth and efficiency. Very short wait before meeting with Eva, the assistant, who explained what to expect. Dr. Chou asked questions and examined my feet in thorough and professional way. She explained her findings and made recommendations in an understandable way. She responded to my questions and asked for a followup. Following this the staff coordinated payment and appointment in professional and personable style. I can recommend Dr. Chou's practice. LD

One of the ways the Standard of Living has improved since the 1960's for working-class singles living in San Francisco is the present-day availability of specialized trained medical doctors of both genders to provide necessary medical care for present-day patients . Fifty years ago,
my Mother could not have been seen by a qualified female podiatrist in San Francisco because there weren't any. Today the debilitating conditions of my weary, working limbs have been seen to and fully resolved by a top-notch podiatrist in practice at the 2100 Webster Medical Building. I was impressed by the receptionist, Caitlin,
. She's very pleasant, polite& patiently to provided the necessary assistance. Then, when I went to the office, the assistant, Eva, who led me in was talking with a smiling face. Dr. Chou has a staff so distinguished. I felt lucky to get to be the patient of Dr. Chou who made sure her patient has no more questions before she left the treatment room.

Dr Chou is efficient, thorough and a great communicator. She advised me what she was doing and why. She used a dictator, so she didn't use time writing notes. She explained my issues, told me that she'd give me the information in writing, and did!
The front office staff was very welcoming and friendly, and efficient, too. And I loved the Swiss Miss hot chocolate! Thank you ladies :)

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr Chou.Firstly I would like to say that her receptionist Brianna is very professional and welcoming.
As a registered nurse, when seeing a provider, I am always very organized prior to my appointment.I was clear about my goals for treatment and write down my questions ahead of time.I waited a month to see Dr Chou so I made the assumption that she must be really terrific
Unfortunately I was dead wrong in my expectations
I experienced her manner as brusk and disinterested. She has an angry and impatient edge to her communication style to the point of being rude

I was raised at a time when (as I recall) it was unethical for a medical professional to also sell products. I suppose one could wonder whether the profit on sales might affect the advice given.
Dr. Chou does sell product and has a sample within reach in the examination room. I did not buy it but she indicated that as an Rx, it was twice as strong as that which could be brought OTC. But, as a Rx, why not just write a prescription and buy it at a drug store. I smell the profit motive here.
On medical advice, I found her advice unacceptably deficient. She advised an OTC fungal solution, saying

The desk lady lied to me, she said I need a prescription to get a pumice stone from Walgreens. By e-mail she also said Dr. Chou only wants me to use lotion and not the pumice stone. But I clearly remember Dr. Chou telling me to use lotion and the pumice stone. Is Dr. Chou forgetful or is there something wrong with the desk lady. I don't know. But after the e-mail I was very confused. And then I call and call but nobody picks up.

...was "gifted" to dr. chou when my former podiatrist retired...i had a long run with dr. specter (pun intended) that was 100% without a glitch...several appointments later with dr. chou and i'm convinced it will be more of the same, i.e., glitch-free healthcare...front office staff is cool, too...highly recommend...

I'm so thankful that my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Chou. She has everything that I look for in a specialist: she is personable, very knowledgeable, and practical.
She's relatable as a person and understands her patient's needs. Dr. Chou really knows her stuff and it shows! She quickly answered every question I had and provided answers in a non-medical way that I could understand. Finally, she offered affordable solutions to my foot pain that work with my active lifestyle.
**Bonus points for having a clean waiting room and a great office location! Also, props

Love, love, love!!! Dr. Chou! I used to think custom orthotics was just a way for doctors to charge you a lot of money and that I could just get something from one of those foot stores (boy was I wrong) until I got my own custom orthotics. There is absolutely no way you could buy anything off the shelf in a store that would make up for getting custom made orthotics if you have plantar fasciitis! Worth every penny! These orthotics have changed my life!!! And Dr Chou is the best! She is so knowledgeable and goes through everything with you so that you understand it from stem to stern she's
