You're staying here for one of two reasons:
* You're a fan a visiting team playing the Senators
* You're visiting one of the tech companies nearby

If you have a choice, get a room in the back overlooking the golf course. Some of the rooms are quite large: there were three kinds of suites. The rooms are fine but show their age. Try not to look too close at the worn carpet or the closet doors that don't completely close. There's not enough power outlets and the wireless isn't strong in the corner rooms.

The hotel has lots of amenities: a restaurant, jazz lounge

We were having renovations done in our house, and decided to spend a night at a hotel and have a little "staycation". The hubby has been to several events at the Brookstreet and raves about it, and recommended that we stay the night there.

The hotel was not busy, possibly due to being in a pandemic. Most of the action being at the little café at the entrance of the hotel. We were able to check in early around noon, which was great. I'm not sure if that would always be the case during "regular" times.

We booked the junior suite, which has a separate living room area

Stayed here last night for our anniversary. Check-in was quick and the front desk staff were friendly. Our room was clean and spacious.

We had dinner and breakfast at Perspectives restaurant in the hotel. We were a little disappointed by the lack of options on the dinner menu, and found the wine list a bit lacking. However, our meals were delicious and our server was attentive and friendly.

I was a little perplexed as to why we were charged $14 for parking in their outdoor parking lot. I could understand being charged for parking if we were parking indoors or if the hotel was located downtown

Flew to Ottawa to chase the Vegas Golden Knights for game against Senators and was surprised to see so many other Vegas fans when we arrived. Right after we checked in Jonathan Marchessault walked by and we chatted with him for a second. Regarding Brookstreet Hotel, very nice place. Had dinner at Presentations (Saw George McPhee and Kelly McCrimmon, who noted our Knights attire). Service and food were both awesome. Bar has live jazz music every most night played at a level that you can enjoy and still carry on a conversation.

The Brookstreet Hotel is a great place about 25 mins from downtown Ottawa that features indoor and outdoor pools, a very popular spa, a well-equipped fitness facility and a golf course. It also has a casual restaurant called Options, with live jazz music and a variety of dishes including sushi, and a fine dining resto called perspectives.

The rooms are spacious and clean with great views of the golf course. They have one room on every floor that has a balcony however I'm not sure about the size of those rooms.

On the negative side, the bathroom could use some updating. Some areas had worn

I stayed here for business because it is close to the office. The hotel is very nice and the room was large and comfortable but there is nothing to do in walking distance. There is a pub nearby, which is fine, but there is nothing else. You really need a car, taxi, or uber if you want any food other than the hotel food.

Aging and tired, the furniture is peeling, tile is poorly repaired, drywall is damaged, weird stains on the furniture, and for some reason the ceiling... The staff is unfriendly and downright rude. One window doesn't open and one won't shut. Beautiful view of the neighboring business parking lot. Don't waste your time. I have stayed at nicer Holiday inns. When I contacted guest services who showed me a different room in just as bad condition. The first redeeming quality to this room is that the giant spider building a web is on the outside of the window.

My wife and I stayed over for a dinner and brunch package and we were very impressed. The hotel is beautiful and we had golf course view from our room. The bed was super comfortable and the room was nice and spacious.
The dinner was a table d'hote and we were offered a cash value from our package if we wanted any items that weren't part of the package. We had the ceviche and Caesar salad starters and our mains were a seared duck breast and steak frites. Everything was cooked properly and the sefrvice was fantastic. I also had the blackberry mango margarita which was recommended and

Hands down, my fave hotel in Ottawa. Any chance I get, I go there. The spa services are fabulous, Sunday brunch is delicious, and customer service is always above and beyond.
I'm so thankful that friends of ours gifted us a weekend here as a wedding gift!
The views of the golf course are gorgeous, as well as overlooking the pool and hot tub area, too.
Clean, comfortable beds, convenient location....highly highly recommend!!!

Nice hotel. Perfect for business travel, don't stay there if you want to enjoy Ottawa as Kanata is far away.

The rooms are specious an clean. Bathroom is modern. If you stay on a top floor you may be rewarded with a nice view as there are not too many tall buildings around. I really liked the work area, oval desk with extra seets. The beds are as comfortable as in every hotel chain, completely comparable with SPG and maybe better. The best is you can actually open few of the windows and get real fresh air in your room. I didn't like the fact the garage is paid and you can keep your

We all got spa services for our friend wedding. When booking beware that they have two rooms for mani and pedis so your group might get split up, that's what happened to us, we had one friend all alone in one room.
My and 2 other girls manis bubbled like a bunch of little air bubbles under the polish started happening. All but 2 estheticians were cold, like personality wise.
They did offer mimosas!
The polish did stay on really well without chipping. (But I still had those air bubbles in the polish)

For a four star hotel, I left underwhelmed. I've been going to Perspectives for dinner and lunch which I love, but this was the first time using the hotel as a hotel.

Our room was nice and clean - bed was comfy, but for a four star hotel I expected robes and slippers (from my previous experiences like the Park Hyatt or Omni). The setting for the room temperature wasn't cooperative either. Room service was fast and friendly, but overpriced for a starter and two mains. Since there isn't much around you're left with room service or to eat downstairs. The parking garage underneath

The Brookstreet is a decent hotel, but could use some improvements.

* the bed is one of the least comfortable I've ever slept on,
* the temperature control in my room didn't work properly, it was much too hot and uncomfortable,
* asked twice for coffee (pods for the in-room Keurig/Tassimo) that never came,
* pet fees are billed for each night? Have never come across this at another hotel.

Decent hotel, and OK to stay here if you have business in Kanata- otherwise there are far better options fifteen minutes away in downtown Ottawa.

Stayed here for one night as it was close to the wedding reception we were going to...so, also got a special rate - thank God because I wouldn't have paid full price.
Nice enough. The room was mostly clean if you didn't mind the dust and the wet butt marka on the chair. No frills for the price...no little soap in the bathroom, have to call someone for ice. ..twice. ..because no one came the first time. Oh and you have to pay for parking.
The upside is that the bed is comfy, the food is yummy and the view is amazing.

A generally nice hotel, but very low frills. The rooms are of adequate size for a short visit, but walls are a bit better than paper thin. TVs appear dated and channel selection is minimal. Service was OK, but not first class. Rooms were clean and the bathroom was better than average. Elevator service seemed quick and without issue. Bar and restaurant were mixed. The restaurant served decent sushi and burgers, but the bar closed early and lacked a unique presence.

I think if you have business in the Kanata area this is the only selection available. Would not pay more than $185 per night at this

On a business trip for one week here. So read this as busines traveler, and not a sports fan.

The Good: The rooms are nice, the staff is awesome and friendly, and the hotel is generally clean and free internet. Wired and fast internet in the rooms.

However, this hotel suffers from wanting to be in Las Vegas before the city is built around it and believing their clientele has an infinite expense accounts.

1) The internet is a bit dodgy as you have to constantly log back into the wifi if you happen to disconnect, which and be tough if you think you have sent out an important email - but it hasn

The Brookstreet is a nice hotel since it's pretty new, and the lobby area and the rooms are both modern and clean. The room and bathroom were a good size, and their staff is really friendly. However, my bed and pillows were not very comfortable for some reason, and that is my only complaint. I loved that the shades actually blocked out the sunlight, and there was somewhat of a view from your room.

There is a "Starbucks" downstairs, and although you can order the same drinks, it doesn't quite taste as good as the stand alone stores. However, they also sell baked goods and other

On the scale of a premium Marriott. Very good. Check in and check out seamless and fast. I was offered a nice view balcony with parking included in the upgrade cost, which was modest. Room featured supportive and comfortable mattresses a key for me - coming to a new brand hotel I was concerned about this. No disappointments.

Bar and restaurant service was prompt and friendly though it also cost the review a star - the drinks and food are typical restaurant fare. Not exciting and not terribly good. Walk across the street to the Indian restaurant for a very good meal at a better price instead
