Gale Force Bikes is located closest to the bicycle trails at the Cape Cod National Seashore. Our store is in the quiet West End a short walk away from the busy center of town and nearest to the beach and bike trails. Dedicated bicycle lanes start at our place which allow riders to travel to and from the bicycle trails and beach without having to ride with traffic on the road.

Our rental fleet includes Cannondale, Schwinn, GT and iZip bicycles. We have comfort hybrid bikes, electric bicycles, mountain bicycles, beach cruisers, road bikes and tandems as well as children's bicycles, tag-along bikes and trailers. We have all sizes of bikes from children-sized bicycles to adult-sized bicycles and our trailers and tag-alongs can accommodate toddlers.
Reservations are suggested for busy periods during July and August. DEPOSITS: We require a credit card (Amex, Visa, Mastercard or Discover) to complete a reservation. Reservation deposits require full payment at the time the reservation is made. We will obtain credit card information when you call to complete your reservation.
The Beach Market Sandwich Shop is a unique shop with a variety of food, beverage and beach products. The Sandwich Shop offers delicious sandwiches, salads, snacks and beverages. The Beach Market stocks a variety of convenience items, food and beverage items and beach supplies like ice, beach chairs, beach towels, picnic baskets, inflatable rafts, beach balls, toys and games.
There are many wonderful places to stay in Provincetown. You will find a variety of amenities, rates and services offered. Whether you seek an intimate guest house, a waterfront cottage, a full service hotel, motel or a campground you are sure to find a property to suit your needs. Since Provincetown is relatively small, many of the properties are a short distance from our shop.

Yesterday we rented a few e_bikes from them, and enjoyed a wonderful ride through the national seashore trails, off of Provincetown. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and were very patient and explaining to us how to use the bikes. All of the equipment works perfectly, and it was just an overall very positive experience.

This place has a great bike service shop. I dropped by with my 30-year-old mountain bike for a new derailleur cable and received focused and thorough attention. I ended up fixing more things because they were so careful and so well-stocked. I have used many bike mechanics over the years and I can say with authority that these guys are first rate.

Came here to rent some bikes to take on the trails through the national shoreline. This place was awesome. It was reasonably priced, the bikes were actually really decent, and the staff was great. They will provide you a map and show you a recommended loop. We rented them for about 4 hours which was plenty of time to do the loop and relax a bit at race point beach (the highlight of our ride).
As for the market, I highly recommend that too! The employees are friendly, it's fairly well stocked with odds and ends you may need, and they have a deli with sandwiches as well!

Awesome experience renting here. The counter gal was super friendly and helpful, and all of the other workers were efficient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place as the proximity to the bike path is superior. When you finish your trip -- treat your self to a brownie! You won't be sorry!

Overall, had a very good experience. The staff was friendly, the entire rental process was quick and painless, and they remedied several bike problems. And the bikes themselves were pretty decent, better than others we've rented in years past from other places. On the other hand we did have multiple bike problems, and ended up with five bikes for two rentals over the course of the week. Including one where we were far from the shop and the deer head falling apart, and they delivered the new one on the spot miles away. We'll likely use them in the future.

This bike shop is on the west side of PTown. They offer 2, 4, day and longer bike rentals. They offer top of the line Cannondale comfort (i.e., suspension) hybrid bikes and other models. I rented one for a trip out to Herring Cove and Race Point beaches and the bike did a good job on the hills and the sand dusted roads. The bikes comes with an easy to use lock and helmet if you want it. The staff were friendly and gave a good orientation to the bike and offered a map and directions.
There is a also a little sandwich shop and market inside this store. It's a good place to stop and stock up

Rented bikes here for the morning to go for a ride out on the dunes with my mom while in Provincetown for a few days. Service was great and very friendly. The person serving us gave us lots of helpful advice on where to go and made sure we were comfortable with how our bikes were set up. Bikes were good quality and in good condition although the brakes were a little squeaky. Rental rates were quite reasonable.

I've been renting here for three summers, and each time it's a breeze: I order in advance, the bikes are in good working order ready for us, and the process to get the right sized bike and helmet has been streamlined to the point where I can get in and out in minutes. (It honestly takes longer to get the great sandwiches than it does to get the bikes). Their systems aren't fancy; many things are done with calling them to make reservations and pen and paper to have everything recorded, but it all works.

Gale Force Bike Rental has excellent, reliable, high quality bikes, well cared for and in great shape. The staff were incredibly knowledgable and kind, helping us with bikes and maps of Provincetown. The Market, what can I say.....fantastic food, from the homemade sandwiches and salads to fresh fruit and plenty of drinks choices. The owners introduced themselves to us and were very kind and thankful for the business. But the BIKES, WOW! Quality, Color choices (important in PTown) :). Have rented here before, but it just gets better each time!

Gale Force was the first bike rental place that popped up when I googled bike rentals in P-town. We drove up and were so happy they had free parking. The staff was very helpful and set my friends up with bikes while they gave me a map of the bike paths and explained how to get to them. They were literally down the hill and to the right-so close by! The rentals were affordable, there were a variety of bikes, and helmets came with. The in-store deli was amazing. We each loved our sandwiches which were the Cape Codders and Vermonters. They had a big selection of food and drinks available as

Needed a new beach cruiser. Found what I wanted and emailed Gale Force Bikes.
Jeff the owner got right back to me. It was off season AND he was on vacation.
That, right there, tells you the level of service at his bike shop.
He told me no problem. Had some very well thought out suggestions. My bike was delivered on time and was ready to be picked up just 2 weeks after they open for the season, which is when I was going to be in town again.
Jeff also informed me there's a free 30 days tune up & a free end of season tune up as well.
The 30 day was a quick turn around I made an appointment

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Location great for heading out to the trails at the National Seashore. We were fixed up quickly with bikes, helmets, a map. About a third of the ride in, my son took a pretty nasty spill off the trail coming down a hill ( thank god for the helmet). He was very shaken, and didn't want to continue. We called the shop and explained what happened, joe drove out to pick us up, brought some water, and was so supportive. My son says "they saved my life". Can't say enough about owner Danny and his crew!

I've rented from Gale Force Bike Rentals on two separate occasions. Both times the transactions were straightforward and simple. I did not have to reserve a bike either time because I visited during the off season. Prices were very reasonable ($14 for 4 hours) and a worthy investment because riding around the Province Lands bike trail is always a highlight of any trip out to PTown, and you'll need a bike to get the most out of the experience.
