The air is pure and clean, and views are beyond description. Walk our nature trails and discover the abundant wildlife surrounding the campsites, or just sit and watch the bald eagles soar. We're a family oriented campground helping create those lifetime memories for you and your children. Come explore or kick back and relax while you experience nature at its best.

With over 300 spacious sites nestled in a 100 acre mountain setting, you can choose the site that fits you! Whether you are looking for grassy, wooded, or one that is secluded - we offer it all! This is by far the safest, cleanest and most gorgeous campground I have ever stayed. The staff is always more than accommodating to everyone's needs.

We offer plenty of exciting activities for the whole family, right here at the campground! Find something new around every corner. Keep everyone occupied with our playground, arcade, or our fields and courts. The Schohaire Reservoir is a quick trip down the road and offers peaceful (non-motorized) scenes sunrise to sunset.
To participate in the program, all recreational boats must be steam cleaned and inspected by a DEP approved vendor prior to launch. Reservoir is open daily sunrise to sunset, beginning the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend until the Monday of Columbus Day. Kayaks must be at least 9 feet in length, other boats must be at least 11 feet 5 inches in length.
Invite your witches and ghosts to stay on your site to greet all the little monsters who come calling. Trick or treating, site decorating and costume contests. This weekend will be geared towards smaller children. Are you brave enough to walk the haunted trail? This Halloween we will spook up for all of those brave enough to see those from the grave!
In my experience, I have been coming here since I was a child and never forgotten. Now I am a seasonal here. Great, wonderful, and amazing owners. Couldnt ask for a better place for my kids to grow up in knowing that this will always be a place to remember. Thank you guys for all that you do. Fantastic campground the sites are spacious and well maintained the people are very gracious the store has everything you need.

First time here. It is huge, beautifully laid out and a well managed facility. Something for everyone! Kids of any age will love it. And the live entertainment this Labor Day weekend, Tailor Made, was great!

First time going camping 🏕 at Nickerson Park and we had an amazing time. Kids loved it. The fresh air, the fire pit, to making s’mores, the trails to go hiking. They also have a pool and kids again just enjoyed it all. We loved every bit of our camping days and most of all we loved getting to the waterfall!! Amazing memories made!! 😊 Cant wait to go back!!

Super friendly staff, lots of open space/fields, campsites nestled along the wood line. In walking around (hoping to find the perfect place to rent seasonally for our RV) we noticed that they are also quite gracious in the space of the sites. A lot of other places would squeeze an RV in between some of their lots. We were appreciative of this, and that they haven't clear cut all the trees. Extremely dog friendly, and has a very nice dog park.

Love this place! The creek, the pool and the waterslides were all big hits with the kids. Camp sites in the 500 level along the woods were very spacious, cant wait to come back next year!

Multiple problems. STAY AWAY. First, they have no clue how to even get into the campground and you end up down a washed out dirt road, barely made it through with my trailer camper. Second. There are no signs out front, you have to guess if it’s the right place. Third, they told us there was a canopy and that it was wooded. It’s was not. It was like a parking field at a beach. We ended up picking up our trailer Ans going down the road to a much better campground. Forth, they wouldn’t give a refund even though we didn’t stay there And they lied to us about what to expect. We literally left

It was a last minute decision for us to come here and we were so glad we did. We had reservations about being side by side with other RVs but the site we were in was so big and being in a valley with huge trees all around a large open grassy area in the middle made everything feel vast. We loved the pool, walking to the creek, and how wonderfully quiet it was most of the time. The staff was super helpful in explaining how to prepare our kayaks for use on the reservoir and with trash pick up and information about weekend activities. Super family and dog friendly campground. We appreciated the proximity

My wife and I took our 9 year old for the long holiday weekend. After reading reviews about the campground being very family oriented, we thought it was the place for us. But we were wrong! Upon arrival, we were greeted by 2 rude women in the store at check in. One was the manager of the campground (Gina). We chocked up there behavior as them being overwhelmed and busy. We wish that our bad experience stopped there but it didn’t!
As we made our way down the hill to our campsite, seasonal campers screamed at us and told us to slow down. Speed limit throughout the park is 5mph…I was going 7mph

Just cant say enough about Nickerson Park Campground. From the friendly helpful staff to the large, spacious and well maintained sites. This is definitely the way travel trailer camping should be. It is quite appearant that the owners and management take the business seriously. It very noticeable by the upgrades that have been done and the work that is continuing. The natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and Schoharie Creek are astounding. Whether your coming from the next county over or the the next state you will not be disappointed.
