Services
You won't have other campers only a few feet away, no RV generators running all night (sorry but we won't allow ANY RVs for some time). Pets are very welcome, just clean-up after them. We offer free firewood and a few gallons of potable water. The stunning views and rare chance to be in the "deep woods" are all gratis!
Located in the Western Catskills Mountains, Albany an hour north, NYC under three hours (traffic willing) away, Woodstock 45 minutes east and Delhi 10 minutes over the next mountain. Depending on the weather and your vehicle's limitations, you may hike or opt for a 4X4 ride up to your site. You will be ascending well over 500 feet from the base camp, so prep your packs wisely!

I took a last minute overnight trip here with my 11 month old and our Retriever. Laura and Brad are amazing hosts and the grounds here are beautiful and well-maintained. We stayed in the Lean-Too which was SO UNIQUE and the perfect balance of rustic with a few modern comforts. We burned wood in the wood stove overnight and stayed toasty warm while big thunderstorms rolled through in the morning. It was so peaceful! Laura and Brad even left a bag of biscuits for our dog and gave us fresh eggs from their chickens which was so thoughtful. The Lean-Too was also stocked with everything we needed so

Cabin of our dreams. This is by far the most amazing place my fiance and I have ever stayed. Not only was it something right out of fairytales and folklore but the hospitality and kindness provided by Brad and Laura is unmatched. They thought of everything and provided for all of ones needs and then some. We packed so much when in reality all we needed to pack were clothes, toiletries and some food. The words stressed disappeared from our vocabularies. Time stood still. I would recommend this campground and cabin to all families and friends. We already are planning our next visit. A 4 hour drive

Definitely recommend Peak Site! It's a thick, all-weather tent that's fully furnished with a rustic vibe. It has a wooden stove and a propane burner, plus everything you need to cook, eat, and drink. It was great to be off-grid while having such an awesome space to stay in and all the cookware provided. The owners are very cool and seemed to have put a lot of attention and love into this campground!

Dirt Road Camp is a really special place. We stayed in an all-weather canvas and wood structure (the "Peak site") that the owners built high up in their forest-covered mountain. It was very private, super cozy, and the immediate surroundings had everything for a perfect outdoor evening: a fire pit with a tripod grill to cook up a spot of dinner, plenty of free fire wood, a bench to soak up the moment on, and a cedar wood outhouse. We slept like logs – the bed is really comfy :) We had one day of rain, but happily the tent was equipped with everything we needed to cook indoors, including a propane

This spot is magical. Peaceful, remote-- but with all the comforts you'd want for a night or three in the woods, including a lovely tripod cooking grill, a beautifully clean outhouse (w soap and hand santizer provided), potable water, woodchips to sleep on, etc. Brad, who is the owner and host, greeted us when we arrived to check in on how we were doing. He has thought of everything. I cannot wait to return.
