As an Auto Repair shop we are considered an essential business, and will stay open until further notice. Called around to see who could change my brake pads and this place was by far the cheapest! Turns out i didnt need my brake pads changed yet. I appreciate the honesty but i did get my oil changed tires rotated etc. very fair pricing and very knowledgble.

All the lights were on in my car (Check engine etc) after a deer ran into my car. Dave's auto very quickly got my car in to check what was happening and to see if some damage was caused. Great service, quick, and luckily nothing serious. Reasonable prices for their time! I have just moved to Pinole. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Great people. Honest folks. Do not judge a book by its cover. Place is kinda crammed in there with other competing businesses. Even had a competing biz invite me to their place. These guys were helpful and great. I hired them for a pre-purchase inspection. They saved me from a potential bad deal. Thank you, Dave's.

I took my Honda here because it's closer to my house. My car needed some adjustments and replacements and found the cost reasonable. Although there was some scheduling confusion, she corrected it. A minor issue is there were like visible oil hand prints on my front bumper which they didn't wipe it off.

Highly recommended. Lisa is amazing and so is her staff. I scheduled online to get a 50,000 mile tune up on my old Toyota Camry that has high mileage. Repair estimate is very reasonable. She let me know ahead of time before doing any fixes and no surprises. She even gave me a quote on getting the struts done and advised me that it doesn't need to be done immediately but in the future. No pressure.
For me this place is top notch in my opinion and i would definitely recommend this place due to my experience and will come here. Customer oriented and very knowledgeable.

This place is a first class operation that inspires my confidence. I've used them before, but this time there was a computer problem with my Lexus brakes that was technically pretty tricky and they said they don't specialize in this particular type of repair on this vehicle. But Lisa told me to first try a battery discharging procedure that could possible help. It didn't work, but she took earnest care in providing me with the information she could come up with. Competent professionals. Quality work at a fair price. I brought in my pick-up with mystery engine problems. Lisa quickly determined the cause as well as other issues with tires and steering that needed to be addressed.

Top quality repair for a total engnine replacement. They providied me with honest recommendation of service and choice of components. They assigned a top level technician to focus on the job. The result was a seemless transition for an old engine with >240k mi to a longblock remanufactured engine. The vehicle runs smoothly. There was nothing left undone that would have had to be re-worked. Totally pleased with the care and craftsmanship they brought to this big job. Strongly recommend this shop for honest, top quality work.

The starter motor in Hooptie, our 1998 Toyota pick up truck, was feebing out. Hubby called and spoke with Lisa. She was remarkably knowledgeable about any possible problems with the starter and suggested that it may only need new solenoid contacts, which would have saved beaucoup bucks. We made arrangements to have it towed to Dave's Auto Repair.
After an initial inspection, it was determined that the starter was beyond repair. Lisa also noted that the battery was old and weak which could lead to problems with the starter. They did a complete inspection on the truck and also found the bushings

I heard about Dave's Auto Repair through my mom. She takes both of her Hondas here - CRV & Accord. So I took my Honda Fit here to get it checked out since I had issues with my AC unit on the freeway. I also got an oil change since I was almost due & had the car in storage (Lisa said the oil change wasn't necessary yet. I appreciated her honesty and had it done anyway.)
Upon their inspection, my AC worked fine. But all I got when I was driving back was warm air. So they did further testing and inspections the following morning to see why my compressor wasn't working properly

Dave's auto repair made my car run like it was brand new again! They were very detailed about what was the sound from my car. FORD wanted thousands of dollars while saving so much money at Dave's auto repair. Lisa was so friendly and helpful. I spoke with Lisa through the app and she advised me to come in so I could get an accurate estimate on a preventative service that I wanted done, so I did. When I got there we talked out what I wanted to do and why and she gave me some honest advice about why I didn't need to spend money on that service. We talked about different scenarios and she priced them for me but she also let me know that my full-coverage insurance would help me out if I was ever in certain situations. I appreciate the honesty here and I will definitely come to this shop when services are needed.

My daughter's Acura broke down at night a few days before Thanksgiving, and we had it towed to their lot. We don't live in the area, but took a chance on Dave's Auto. It was some time before we were able to deal with the car issue, and Lisa graciously allowed it to sit there until then- (I didn't have time to drop the key off for several days). She explained to us what procedures/tests they needed to run for diagnosis, and what the possible causes(and costs) could be. She was transparent, friendly but professional- gave me a rundown of what the car needed

Made an appointment over the weekend and Lisa messaged me back to confirm my appointment.
Showed up when I was supposed to and it went smoothly. My check engine light was on and they did a full diagnostic. I appreciated how she was straightforward...told me what needed to be done immediately (for safety reasons and to protect the car) and what other work that needed to be done that was not an immediate need.
