In a world that desperately needs kindness the manager of the Mariner Morel chose to be rude and lack basic human empathy. I had a relative staying there who unfortunately contracted COVID after being there multiple days. They did not have a room for 1 of the 10 nights she was booked (day 4 of 10). Instead of cancelling another patron, they kicked out my relative, leaving her without anywhere to stay. I know it’s not required they disclose to next customer as long as they disinfect but if I were that new customer I would rather stay at the next motel down the block then in a room previously housed

Poor customer service
We were planning to stay here the weekend that tropical storm/ hurricane Henri was projected to hit the Cape. I called the motel to cancel our reservation as our trip would be affected (driving in hurricane force winds is not advisable and I experienced enough hurricanes after living in the south to take warnings seriously!). I canceled on Booking.com (as I used this site for initial reservations) and also contacted the motel explaining the situation as we were concerned about the impending tropical storm and dangerous driving conditions. Clean rooms, convenient location, and reasonable prices. Not to mention the cute and charming decor! Just down the road from Main Street, and Walgreens is just across the street. Owner was friendly and personable. On one of our stays, we experienced plumbing issues, but he fixed it promptly. I've been here a few times and I would go again!

Don't let the exterior fool you. It was very clean and you can tell they have tried really hard to make it lnice without doing a remodel. Obviously no special amenities but a comfortable place to stay the night while visiting the area. They did mess up one if my room reservations but were very accommodating and got it fixed right away. Hope I have the opportunity to say here again.

Made a reservation for a week out for a short business trip and then cancelled the next day when it fell through, well within the cancellation period. They charged my card for a cancellation fee and then played dumb every time I called. Despite numerous calls, it was obvious they were not going to refund my money so I had to dispute with my credit card company.
Unethical. Do not trust them.

Stayed here this past weekend with my husband and daughter. My husband checked us in while my daughter and I did some shopping. We really wanted to like this place because it looked cute and was conveniently located to all the little shops in Falmouth.
They told my husband they couldn't find our reservation after he and I both called to confirm there would be 2 double beds in our room since our daughter is a teenager.
They told my husband to wait and mysteriously they found out reservation.
The sheets in both beds were stained with what looked like bodily fluids.
The rug felt damp, we wore

If you're looking for a simple, comfortable, and clean motel near the Martha's vineyard ferry, check out Mariner motel. Even though the outside may look dated, the room I stayed in was in pristine condition. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, nice shower, great service.
Call them directly for special rates!

Loved this place!! Nice sized clean room with two beds, cheerfully decorated with vintage charm, don't let the term "motel" discourage you!! The owner, Mr Dang, was very attentive and responsive to our needs and queries. Only downside, fridge was very small and there was no microwave in the room, but that wasn't a deal breaker. I would happily stay here again and I recommend this cute little motel to anyone visiting the area!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! We tried to stay here for one night on a quick getaway to Falmouth. When we arrived to check in at the hotel there was no one in the office so you had to call a number to reach them. When they finally came, we had asked if they offered any senior discounts and if we could just see the room (the outside didn't look so great so we just wanted to check that the room would be okay) the man working the desk was incredibly rude and said that because we asked for discounts he "didn't trust us" and didn't want to rent us the room

Let me start off by saying I travel for work frequently and have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels. I have never been treated like this or had this kind of experience. I am appalled. The front desk man is rude, obnoxious and a thief. We arrived after booking through a third party last minute. He started screaming at us because my children were over 12, would not give us the room(even though our reservation was for 2 beds and would not cancel our reservation so we are out $180. He was swearing at us for no reason and threaten to call the cops all over the age of our children. We were just

I truly enjoy this place. It is well-located, spotless and ideal for families. And the pool in back is a sparkling gem. The price is quite reasonable for the location. Some of the lower ratings may be due to unreasonable expectations. Sure, it's not the Ritz -- but for some families, that's a good thing.

Horrendous customer service. Front desk staff is incredibly rude. They attempted to charge me for a reservation that was cancelled weeks ago. Fortunately Expedia stepped in and I wasn't charged. Even the Expedia agent commented on the rudeness of the desk staff. Drove by and it looks like a complete dump. I feel I really dodged a bullet.

Labour day weekend, so Peak tourist season. 200 usd per night, which is still cheaper than other offerings this time of year at this locality.
Within walking distance to the ferry, island queen. I'm SO glad we discovered The Mariner! The innkeeper, Gary was so hospitable and friendly. He recommended restaurants in the area and made sure we had everything we needed. I was reluctant to stay in a "motel" because of the stigma that comes with it but it completely turned me around. Our room was so neat and clean and the bedding, as Gary explained were recently updated. Our room, a Double XL had two double beds plus an extra single bed. It could easily accommodate a larger group.
The location is right in downtown Falmouth, just a few minutes to all the restaurants and shops.
