I am new to the Hudson Valley although born in Poughkeepsie 78 yrs. ago and I needed 2 street tires and tubes on my bike Tuesday July 16, 2019 so this is a recent visit..I can only tell you how friendly the owner of this shop is and he willingly took care of my bike right away, (I wasn't sure that would be possible)..As much as the service, I was very impressed with the Bicycle inventory which is truly remarkable to say the least..There are lots of bike shops in south Florida where i used to live, but none with the selection of equipment, accessories and frames this man has in his shop...I know

During the summer, I bought a gently used refurb e-bike from a California vendor. Rode it for awhile, then discovered the controller went out. Looked for an e-bike service shop and found Kingston Cyclery in NY who said they had 3-4 years experience. Apparently, not many bike shops handle servicing e-bikes, but finding someone local was important to me at a fraction of the labor cost of VeloFix in Albany.
They changed out the controller and after doing so, cracked the lens which serves as the entryway to remove the controller. I let them know that that needed to be replaced and sent them photos

Rick Rules!!
My friend was buying a bike today so I went with her for support (we all have anxiety problems). Rick was so incredibly friendly and helpful that he didn't really come off as a salesman, more like someone I'd just like to hang out with or go on a bike ride with. I don't know if they work on commission but he didn't try to upsell her on anything. His focus was making sure she got the bike she was most comfortable with. We will definitely be going back.

I bought my Specialized from them years ago. Lemme tell you all something. If you want a place that knows what they're talking about, and stands behind their products this is the place to go. The prices are great, and their service is above any place I've tried. I talked to their mechanic and he is awesome. Keep up the good work everyone. Expect me to be there a lot.

Superior customer service in a day and age where it has because nonexistent!
After recently having my road bike stolen, I had an old GT Mountain Bike as my back-up that I was meaning to get fixed up.. so I took it in to be serviced. Janice was so very nice and when it was time to pick up my bike, not only was it riding like a Cadillac, one of the guys helped explain my gear system to me and how to work it! I'm truly thankful for their help because these are the only wheels I have! I HIGHLY recommend taking your wheels here to get serviced!

Sorry to be a bother earlier and for the no help. I left this place wishing I had never gone in with my son. The guy who asked if I needed anything seemed like he had better things to do. Went online just now and found the helmet from the same company he said they don't even make in my son's size. Wow. Thanks but no thanks

Wendy has been my stylist for 26 years! I have been with her since before Snippers was established, and I won't leave her until the sad day that she retires. Even then, I will most likely show up on her doorstep begging for her help with my roots and split ends!

Just bought a new bicycle here! I checked out Revolution Bicycles (Saugerties) and Bike Brothers (also Kingston) before I settled on buying a bike here. Kingston Cyclery had a wider selection and they were much more helpful. They helped me find the right size and fit for what I was looking for, and they were very nice. They weren't too pushy either about buying accessories, which made my experience much more pleasant. I ended up with a Trek, and I even got a discount! I will be back here for a tune up soon.

If you're in the market for a bike and you know what you want, pick the shop of your choice and best of luck. If you're looking for service from folks who'll analyze your riding requirements, measure you and set you up with the ideal bike; basically step you through the entire purchase experience, go see the people at Kingston Cyclery. I visited three area bike shops before K.C., and none could hold a candle to their superior efforts. I just bought my second bike in the last eight weeks from them, and it's only gotten better.
