A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. The lens, which is located behind the iris, focuses light on the retina at the back of the eye to produce a sharp image. Most of the eye's interior is filled with vitreous, a gel-like substance that is very thick when we are young. There are millions of fine fibers intertwined within the vitreous that are attached to the surface of the retina.
Dry eye is a term that describes insufficient moisture of the eyes, either because there is not sufficient tear production and/or the tear film has improper chemical composition. Macular degeneration is a term that includes a variety of eye diseases that affect your central vision. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common form of macular degeneration.

Blepharitis is an infection of the eyelids. It is very common, and it is often a chronic condition. Once it is present, it will always be present, but the severity may change over time. In some cases, the symptoms can disappear for long time periods, months or years, before returning. Careful cleaning of your eyelashes every day can control blepharitis.
Most of the eye's interior is filled with vitreous, a gel-like substance that is very thick when we are young. There are millions of fine fibers intertwined within the vitreous that are attached to the surface of the retina, which lines the inside of the eye. As we age, the vitreous slowly liquefies and begins to pull away from the retina as the gel collapses upon itself.
Macular degeneration is a term that includes a variety of eye diseases that affect your central vision. Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common form of macular degeneration. AMD is a premature aging of the cells in the area of retina responsible for detailed central vision. This area of the eye is called the macula.

Today was my second appointment with Dr Clymer. All my appointments were excellent. First was an emergency and they worked my in same day. Today was follow up. Staff was extremely pleasant. I expected to have a wait because since covid seems.like you do everywhere. They were very prompt. I have no negative comments about either visit easy 5 star review

UPDATE: After posting this review, Enrique, a representative from May Eye Care reached out to me to see what they could do to remedy the situation. He was very compassionate, kind, and helpful and exactly what one would want if they had had the frustrating experience I had. He offered me a full refund and promised me that the employee in question would receive some much needed training to ensure that no one else would have to endure such poor service on their prism attachments. If only Enrique had been my first contact! I am truly grateful for his help and have added a star and this update.

I have had an ongoing issue with a corneal abrasion that has plagued me since my infant son (who turns 21) scratched my eye at 10 months of age.
Every year, it opens and I'm in pain, tearing to the point my face swells . I can't see. It's been awful to deal with. And every doctor would tell me to use warm compresses, " itlll clear up in its own". Well that never happened.
Enter Dr. Nirvyk, so sweet
And kind. She actually helped me, and showed compassion for what I've been going through. She even had a treatment to close my abrasion. It was fixed for a whole year

Saw Dr May in 2007 for LASIK procedure. Fast forward to present, have lived in NJ for 8 yrs. I called & scheduled an appointment & Sara was absolutely lovely!! She is super professional & personable. Needed a prescription & she called me back within 2 hrs., even though Dr May was with patients. Sara is definitely a huge influence on why I will travel 3 hrs. to this office. Dr. May is ‘The Best’ & his staff (Sara) are truly worth the drive. Thank you for making me feel so blessed!

The eye doctor was really nice. But there is a lady who sits in the front desk that seems really rude and made me feel like I was wasting her time while I was talking to her. It made me really uncomfortable when I was trying on glasses as she just stared at me and I could tell she was judging me. (She is the lady who sits at the part of the desk that is lower down) other than that I really enjoyed going there

I made an appointment with May Eye Care. I missed my appointment due to forgetting about it. At no point, did I receive a reminder call, email or text message regarding the appointment. I received an invoice in the mail in January 2019 with a $25 charge for not showing to the appointment. Meanwhile, I called the office and spoke with Katie explaining to her that I would not purposely forget an appointment. I also let her know that I did not get a reminder call, text, or email.
In addition, she told me she would speak with the office manager to see about getting the fee waived, and get back to

REASON FOR VISIT #1: I poked my eye out. Or something like that. After a trip to the ER where I had a romantic date with a morphine drip, I was told by the Boulder Babe MD to definitely schedule a follow-up appointment with an eye doc. I didn't know any, so he suggested Dr. May.
REASON FOR VISIT #2: My niece poked her eye out. Or something like that.
THE YAYS
1. We both got next business day appointments. Holla.
2. There was no excruciating wait upon arrival.
3. I was way late for my nieces appointment and they totally accommodated us.
4. Dr. May is friendly but fast. He&apos

I cannot say enough about this place! I have been struggling with severe eye problems for so many years, and not one Dr. has really spent the time to help me until I came to May Eye Care. I called in the morning, in tears, explaining to the receptionist how badly my eyes hurt, and that no other office has any openings until over a month out. She talked to the Dr. and they 'fit' me in just hrs later! They were so helpful and actually gave me an answer to what is going on with my eyes! Plus, they want to follow up next week! THAT'S how you take care of a patient =)
