Echelon Apartments

My family recently moved out/relocated and I wanted to leave a final review. Whitney and her team, office and maintenance are amazing! They are kind, respectful and proactive. My family lived there 2 years and the moment she took over as manager, our living experience improved 100%, excellent customer service! The property with all the trees is beautiful. I had their stupid window placard and they towed my car from the lot anyways. Cost me like $400 + the time missed from work. Echelon is a soulless crapstain of a business and I hope management is swiftly replaced. I wouldn't be surprised if someone in admin got kickbacks from the towing agency.
Avoid at all costs.

I applied twice ... was accepted twice, and ended up moving to downtown Seattle... and then purchased a home in Federal Way ... now I am looking for apt again... and the reviews : ALL of them, But TWO ; 1 from 2005 and 1 from 2008; are Horrible, disgusting, and TERRIBLE Staff, communication and parking issues ..... I can not wait until my lease is up. These apartments are ridiculous and are continuously going downhill. Let's start with the people in the office, THEY ARE TRASH, they're rude, they will hang up the phone on you, and they do not know how to put the phone on hold before they begin to talk s*** about you. Don't even waste your time looking. The staff here has pretty much always been totally unhelpful jerks. The turnover rate is high and fast. The apartments are OK, but if you get a noisy or elephant footed neighbor, the staff aren't going to do squat anymore. The property changed hands in the last year, and the first thing the new owners did was cancel their contract with the military. They cater to an entirely different type of renter now. Me and my Husband have been living here for a long time not sure why we go through so much office staff over all besides finding parking we have not had any bad experiences in fact we do feel pretty safe

I am usually positive but not when treated rudely and unfair. Just an advice for future renters: First and foremost the staff including the so called manager Vanessa are fake kind and friendly towards potential renters that come in to view the apartment complex. Once you sign that lease agreement their true rudeness, uncourtious, selfishness, unhelpfulness will shine bright like a diamond. Parking is terrible, wall structures are not quality for a very high priced complex. Service members and civilians please don't be fooled by the way the apartment looks and how the staff pretend to be so

I really loved my apartment. It was super clean and the property was well kept. That wasn't the problem. The rental office staff was so incredible rude and disrespectful. I can't even imagine a place that is so pricey giving such poor customer service. I lived here for almost 4 years while active duty. It was the best place surrounding JBLM, so I dealt with management. Moving out can be a nightmare if you don't clean your apartment to standard. My carpets were always cleaned because I have a shampooer and I kept up with that aspect. But this place will charge you a cleaning

Be really careful if you decide to move in here. Parking is a huge problem. The complex encouraged me not to do an inspection prior to moving out stating that it really was no big deal. As a novice to renting, I agreed. Bad decision. If you do move in here, be sure to make a video of the place before you move in, and do multiple complete inspections before you leave. They charged me $941. Never would I have seen that coming. It looks like a really nice place to live but be weary. At least, unlike me, you can't say you weren't warned.

DO NOT RENT THESE APARTMENTS!! Seriously, beware! The staff is terrible (after you've signed the contract the friendliness goes away) - they NEVER answer emails no matter the content: concerns, complaints, or questions. Grounds keeping? HA! They only keep the area near the model apartment and the office neat. So, if you have issues with frogs or insects of any kind you're on your own! With all of this in mind ...now they're going up in their already HIGH PRICES! They haven't remodeled anything, the materials used within the apartments are poor. Warning to all possible residents!!!! I personally do not live here, but will speak about it due to wanting to submit an application. This is not something I will move forward with simply due to the staff. Today I was visiting my sister for a swimming trip and the grouchy lady in the front told my sister that she was only allowed two guests to swim. Well that was perfect because I wasn't swimming and I had my 2 small children with me. The woman at the front continued to tell me that I could not go in with my kids. Everything is great and amazing! The amenities and people who work for the apartment are great. Gets a one freaking star because you can never ever find parking. Ever. We have one vehicle and they pretty much make you buy/rent out a covered parking or you get towed. We have one vehicle and we should be able to park. Ridiculous.

Very good place! But not very good price! Ohh and the people who work here are just horrible!! They are rude, not nice at all, don't really care about the needs of people who live there, ohh and they close the pool way before 10pm that's the time they need to close at.
They just want to go home earlier and also get payed!! Can't believe how rude the manger is to all the people who live here. She's only nice at first when you move in but then she's RUDE!! :(

You get what you pay for!!! It's a tad pricey, but the staff is amazing!!! When you call to put a work order in maintenance is there within a couple of hours!! And the complex is beautiful, the only thing that sucks is parking !!

Coming to Echelon Apartments was like a breath of fresh air. I've lived in over 30 apartments/houses as an adult and have never had such an accommodating experience. We were on a very tight time constraint and I had a pending surgery that made it urgent that we find a place to live ASAP. Amanda, at the front office, did a phenomenal job at ensuring that the administrative aspect of our paperwork moved quickly and smoothly. This is home....
I love the feel of the inside of my apartment and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance needs are often tended within a few hours. My only complaint is the materials used were of very low grade and so you hear everything from your neighbors. This is heavy military here and that often means young and those who love to party. I was young once too so tollerate this.
The rent however is to high for what you get. I have lived here almost two years and will be leaving November due to the outrageous rent increses. Looks good but not worth the rent...
