Grimaldi's Restaurant has a long and rich history. My grandparents started the business in 1943 in Utica New York. The restaurant started in a little soda fountain cafe which soon grew into a full service Italian restaurant. My grandfather was a student of life and he was always curious and passionate about his cooking.

To all our loved loyal customers and friends, Grimaldi's Luna Park and Grimaldi's Restaurant will be saying arrivederci. This will be our 78th year in business. I was given the opportunity to continue with the Grimaldi legacy in 2005 and have had a wonderful career and experience in running the restaurant.

We stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night, to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was kind of fitting because at 16 years old I was working at the Grimaldi's on Erie boulevard, so full circle, lol. We had 4:30 reservations, so beat the crowd in a bit and were seated promptly. It was the start of a wonderful experience, thanks to Chloe, out waitress. We had the Utica Greens for an app, and they were perfect, flavorful, with a helping of heat. Simply put, this is the standard All Utica Greens should be measured by, lol.
My wife ordered the lasagna, and I had chicken riggies. The lasagna was tender

This place is amazing. Thomas is one awesome waiter and very knowledgeable on what they offer. Place is clean and the ambiance is calm a nice balance between noise and being able to have a calm conversation. Highly recommended and would come back.

I have eaten spaghetti and meatballs less and less over the years because it's become more difficult to find a good spaghetti and meatballs. When visiting Grimaldi's, I just had a taste for it and hoped for the best. It was the best spaghetti and meatballs I remember ever eating! Both the sauce and meatballs were top notch. It came with a dinner salad with what I'm presuming to be be homemade Italian/house dressing. That was so good! My only regret is I was only passing through Syracuse so i can't get it more often. It is a restaurant though I would be willing to create a trip around some day!

Grimaldi's was absolutely fantastic!!! I've never been there before, but I visited with my mom and sister. We tried the calamari appetizer and they also served us bread with butter. The bread was FRESH out of the oven, so yummy 😋 I got the eggplant parmesan and my mom and sister got chicken francaise. All of us devoured our meals! The waiter, John, was polite, efficient, and very personable. There wasn't a large menu to choose from, but John explained that it's because they pride themselves on fresh ingredients and Covid has made them less busy. Then we ordered two of the desserts, one having

Friendly staff, good selection of appetizers, salads and entrees. We were there early for dinner on Good Friday without a reservation but they seated us at a booth. The dining room was filling up quickly while we ate. I had the grilled salmon in a lemon butter sauce served with saffron risotto and green beans. The entrees come with a salad. The salmon was prepared well and well-seasoned. They did not overpower the plate with a heap of risotto but a nice small portion which was perfect. And as a finish, a complimentary plate of cotton candy! Yum!

Was a wonderful Italian restaurant. Great ambience and staff. Bread was tasty at the start of the meal. My sister ordered a custom, off the menu meal and it came out awesome without any trouble. The meal included pasta with shrimp, scallops, and chicken. The scallops were big and I tried some and loved it. The chicken parm I ordered was also delicious. For dessert we got cotton candy which was good and a scrumptious chocolate peanut butter pie. Would definately recommend.

The food here is pretty good and looks like a local favorite even though it is placed in an industrial area. I am not sure where all the people come from other than the numerous hotels in the area. The place needs significant renovations though. I can see how they want to keep its original feel and look, but it also looks really worn out and run down. If you’re not concerned about the atmosphere, try this place for the food.
We had the lasagna and chicken parm. The chicken parm was really good. Taste like house made sauce and the chicken was really tender. The lasagna was also tasty but a little

Friendly staff. Broccoli cheese soup was great. Oven warmed bread with a great olive oil to dip in. Chichen bianco had large pieces of mushrooms and a good portion of chicken. I could barely finish my meal. Will return in the future.
