Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. I drove 5.5 hours with my boyfriend to Traverse City and an hour before our check-in time we received a call from them saying we could not stay at their property. Since then, I have called and messaged them several times asking for a refund and have heard nothing back.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY. Worst experience of my life. First, they cancelled my rental the week before my vacation because of a "leak". Then I asked them if they could switch me to one of their other rentals in a different city, they did but I never received a confirmation email. I asked 3 different times before finally getting a screenshot of it sent via text. Then it's the day we are supposed to go and I still don't have info about when/how to check in. I call, email, and text multiple times before finally getting a text back 2 hours before we left. Of course, when we got there the code

CEO reached out to me feeling really bad that my many email inquiries were never responded to while we we were staying at the condo. We had not received the sparkling wine and we did not know what we needed to do to checkout. We guessed concerning the checkout procedure. I think we must have done okay. We weren’t informed later of any problems. The CEO was not aware of the problems and apologized for someone not getting back with us.

ZERO STARS! Last October my family booked a beachfront property (under my husband’s name). We counted the days for months - thinking of the private beach and “million dollar views”. We paid in full, got confirmation, received door code, drove 5.5 hours with a toddler and all of the supplies we bought just for the trip, and when we entered the door code and walked in we WALKED IN ON ANOTHER FAMILY!! Aside from being pretty scary for everyone involved, this double booking is a little too convenient given that the other family booked much more recently, undoubtedly at a higher price. No alternatives

True North are True Thieves! We made a reservation in 2020 for a place to stay during 2021 TCFF. Out of the blue a few weeks ago, we receive notice that we must a) extend our stay to at least 5 nights and b) pay $500 per night. They require a MINIMUM $2500 stay!!! They would not honor the reservation we made and put the required down payment on almost 1 year ago - which we did so far in advance to ensure we have a place to stay during the film festival. They are non-responsive to texts, calls and emails. Very sad to see the greed taking hold in the beautiful Traverse area. Michael Moore comments

I stayed at a condo in Traverse City area at the beginning of October 4th. After which they gave me a stellar review on how we left the condo. On October 27th, True North charged me $170 for an outdoor table collapsing after I left because a wet cover was not put over the grill. In addition, they have a set of stairs to enter the condo (2nd level) with no handrail. This has to be against code. The fireplace did not work properly. The grill would not cook the chicken breast (we took them inside to cook). I will be suing them in small claims court for such a ridiculous charge.

Stayed a few nights attending a sporting event for our son in Traverse City. We are regulars to the area visiting a few times per year and this was our first time staying in a True North property. Condo was great and easily fit our family of four. Quiet area where we never heard any of our neighbors and furnishings inside were still very new looking, basically just like the website images. Christian was very responsive and helpful when contacted with questions. Looking forward to staying at their properties again in the future.

We purchased a condo in 2017 and Christian was our realtor. He was amazing and guided us through the whole process. We learned so much from him about having a rental property in TC. He became our property manager and this was truly a blessing! He works so hard to keep our condo filled! Our condo is so well taken care of! We are so happy with true north management company!

Beautiful view of golf course, ponds and sunset from a large private deck. Full kitchen and laundry make a longer stay very easy and convenient. Two private bedrooms, both with full bathrooms.
So much to do in the area...wineries, breweries, casino, golf and great hiking or biking. Minutes to downtown Traverse City with super shops and restaurants.
