We are currently restoring this historic cottage court established in 1938 and located in the small bayside town of Elk Rapids, MI. All cottages are being completely remodeled. Everything from the flooring, to the electrical/plumbing, to the furniture is new or re-purposed. There are 11 unique cottages on our 5 acre property ranging from a super tiny 100 sqft efficiency up to a spacious 800 sqft, two bedroom cottage.
Kitchens are well stocked with dinnerware and cookware for you to prepare and serve your favorite meals, just bring the groceries!. This cottage has a wheel-chair accessible entrance with 32-inch doorways, transfer shower, bathroom grab bars, roll under sinks/countertops. The kitchenette does not have a stove but does have a fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.

Services
Cottage 2 is our most spacious cottage with two bedrooms and one bath in 700 sqft of living space. This cottage has a real lakeshore cottage feel with mixed hardwood floors and pale blue walls throughout. Kitchen amenities include a full-sized refrigerator, stove, sink and dishwasher and a well-stocked set of dinnerware and cookware for you to prepare and serve your favorite meals.

This was my second stay at Paradise Pines and it was just as excellent as the first time! Lisa was an excellent communicator and check in/out were both smooth. Our cottage was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It's about 25 minutes from downtown Traverse City so it is quite convenient. I will definitely be staying here for my next trip to the area!

Very nice. Everything was fresh and clean. It was ready for us to stay in and feel as comfortable as home. We had coffee waiting to be made. Whether you stay 2 days or 2 weeks it is comfortable and filled with every thing that you might want to have away from home. I miss our 2 day stay. Better than any hotel.I can't say enough good things about it. Perfect.

A beautiful cottage with all the comforts of home, local coffee, lovely bedding, and meticulous common area; gas grill, fire pit, game room, and lots of comfortable seating.
Surprisingly quiet for being a somewhat main road. Beach and wooded park are right across the street.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Elk Rapids, this is the best place hands down.

Another wonderful stay at Paradise Pines! The owners, Lisa and Carl, have created an escape from everyday life in these beautifully adorned home feeling cabins with all the amenities plus outdoor entertainment options. I’ve stayed at many hotels and large resorts but none provide this feeling of escape while still feeling at home. My only fear is posting this will make this place more popular and less available. But Lisa and Carl have created quite an oasis to be proud of.

I have seen this place since the beginning. I can’t say enough about how proud I am of this talented couple. Our cabin was so warm and welcoming, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You’re right across the street from a really cool art park, and the amazing Bay. We could walk downtown for ice cream and saw a movie. Had a bonfire and played games for most of the afternoon steps from our cabin. This is the best spot if you want to come to get way, relax or take in the best of what Elk Rapids has to offer.

I am a native Hawaiian now living in Los Angeles and was recently in Northern Michigan. Stayed at Paradise Pines Resort and was really surprised at the beauty of the resort. The grounds, wild life and flowers were beautiful. Our host, Carl & Lisa were extremely nice and looks like have out done themselves as far as the place.
