Aikido Centers Of N J-Manasquan
Aikido Center of Manasquan is a traditional Aikido Dojo located at Manasqaun Recreation, St. Denis School (eastern end), 90 Union Ave. (rear), Manasquan, NJ 08736. At Aikido Center of Manasquan we teach traditional Aikido as handed down by the Founder of Aikido, affectionately known as O Sensei (Great Teacher).

We hold to his inspired vision-emphasizing Aikido's philosophy and ethics while at the same time teaching Aikido's full range of capabilities from gentle persuasion to full street effectiveness. Stop in to visit us, watch a class or actually participate to learn the beauty and power of this unique martial art.

Tim Vazquez provides an amazing class! I have a child who is a student of his. He exhibits patience and technique that far exceeds that of any other master sensei I have researched and seen.
The class is chock full of excitement and all students (including the adult classes) are fully engaged.
The classes are WELL organized, and clearly Tim reveals his seasoned expertise!
If you are looking for the RIGHT place to join and become a member of a martial arts FAMILY, then THIS is the place to go!!
Go! Watch for yourself...you won't be able to resist!
Bless you, Tim, for all that you do!

I am a guy in my 60's with extensive martial arts training. I am in the best health of my life in part because I am a member of the amazing Aikido class lead by Tim Vazquez! No matter what age you are, you can still practice using his methods. I enjoy the philosophy and culture of Aikido.
SMT is an intense, incredible workout in a short period of time. I am loving it!
Tim is, without question, a phenomenal instructor who works extremely well with you no matter what the level of accomplishment. His knowledge, mannerisms, fine-tuned skills and overall mastery of the arts make it an honor and pleasure

I used to go to a local gym after work to work out and relieve stress after work, but the routines became boring after a while – same equipment, same exercises, and not much of a social place.
I found Aikido Center of Manasquan after reading briefly about the art. The dojo is only 15 minutes from my house, so I decided to try out the promotion for 6 weeks (nothing to lose, right?). Well, that was 6 months ago. I truly enjoy the dojo and recommend it to everyone who reads this. The training is discipline and interesting, so definitely not boring. It is fast pace, so it’s a great work-out. Sensei

My son has been attending the Aikido Center of Manasquan for over 9 years. We chose this Dojo due to it's traditional style & values. Many other Dojo's we visited were glorified playgrounds where there was no respect for the Art of Aikido. We travel through many towns & past many other Dojo's on our way to our Manasquan Dojo home. The Sensei at the Aikido Center of Manasquan, Tim Vazquez, has a lifetime of experience & is an amazing instructor. More importantly he is a man with strong character & morales. He deserves the respect in which he is held by all members of the dojo; children, adults

My first experience with ACNJ Manasquan was over 16 years ago when I had the opportunity to attend an Aikido demonstration at the dojo (then located in Brielle). Soon after this memorable event I was enrolled. From that moment on, I have developed an immense respect and amazement for the talent and generosity of the individuals and instructors at this location, especially Chief Instructor Sensei Tim Vazquez. With an extensive law enforcement and defense tactics background, Sensei Tim integrates these experiences into his classes with an emphasis on providing a full body workout. During these unique

My daughter was a shy 10-year-old when she started her aikido training with sensei Tim Vazquez. She spent the next 8 years training with the best people at the Aikido Center of Manasquan who taught her not only to be a strong and confident person but one with the wisdom and energy to be a positive force in the world. She loves aikido so much she has decided to join the aikido club in her university! Thank you to sensei Tim and everyone at the Aikido Center of Manasquan.

I did some research before deciding to practice Aikido at the ACNJ Manasquan dojo. I chose this dojo because Sensei Tim Vazquez, 5th Dan, is a certified FBI Defensive Tactics instructor and has an extensive law enforcement background. He trains Defensive Tactics for law enforcement professionals so there is always an emphasis on practical effectiveness, something I was looking for in a traditional martial art. He teaches the full spectrum of Aikido, from soft, to hard, to powerful flowing techniques.
The dojo itself is very traditional with a kamiza hand-built by one of the students, and a large

Aikido Centers of New Jersey - Manasquan teaches a traditional martial art with modern practical application. All of the instructors, especially the chief instructor, spend plenty of hands-on time with the students to make sure everyone learns something new in every class. Its a great all-around workout as well, with a strong focus on cardio. Cross-training in the offered yoga classes is a nice complement to the training.
