Located in the heart of Delano, our facility offers curriculums for all age levels including Infant Rooms, Toddler Rooms, Preschool Rooms, dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Rooms, and a School-Age Room. Our facility is quite expansive, and we have ample space for your children to learn, grow, explore, and develop while our dedicated and caring staff provides them with a nurturing and enriching environment.

Services
Big Woods strives to provide a clean, safe and healthy environment where every child can develop emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially. We are committed to providing safety and security for all children. Big Woods encourages learning and growth through play in an environment designed so that children may strengthen muscles, build coordination, stretch their imaginations and have fun.
At Big Woods Child Care Center, we offer two infant rooms for our fast-growing and curious babies. Infant Room 1 is for ages ranging from 6 weeks to about 10 months, at which point they are moved to Infant Room 2 based on mobility and open spaces. Infant Room 2 is for ages 10 to 18 months. The ratio of staff to babies in our infant rooms is 1 to 4, with 1 staff member for every four infants.
In the Big Wood toddler rooms, we encourage and foster a nurturing learning environment for your growing children. We create a classroom community where children's needs are met through positive speaking, talking on their level, and including activities that promote their development and exploration.
In Big Woods' preschool rooms, children are free to move from one to another activity at their own pace, allowing for an exploration of social skills and independence. Some of our table activities include science experiments to encourage learning of new concepts, arts and crafts to foster creativity, and cooking to teach life skills.
At Big Woods Child Care Center, our pre-kindergarten children (4-5 years of age) have access to a wide variety of activity areas in the classroom. The materials change consistently to keep the children focused, learning, and exploring their world.
Activity areas in the room include an art area to allow for creative exploration, a dramatic play area for them to socialize and imagine (with ever-changing themes), a manipulatives center for exploration of the senses, a book corner to encourage literacy and a love of reading, and a circle time area to come together to create a classroom community.
