Always a happy time around the winery when we get to finally show off what has taken years to get readied. The latest are- New vintage of Basket Pressed Syrah, and le Petit Rouge and a new "Winter Harvest Syrah" sweet wine. There is a Very Small amount of Sangiovese. Please call or email to get some- It won't last long so it's not listed on the shopping cart.
Stop here on your way to our friends in the Zillah area or on your way to Yakima after you've been to the Valley!. The Tasting Room at Masset Winery is the best place to buy- you get to taste the wines and make decisions- always something on special too. But, it's not always that easy. We do sell at select other locations.

One of my favorite wineries in all of Washington! Came here over Labor Day weekend with my best friend and had a fabulous time. Michaela is so friendly, felt like we were chatting with a new best friend in our living room, all while learning so much. She truly understands the land, the grapes, and the wine and we were happy to learn more about each type of grape and how her and her husband have cultivated their vines over the years. We bought a case full of several different bottles (tempranillo, my fav, included) and a few jars of the lotion sold in the tasting room by Ann'ue Sensation which is

Had the tasting room to myself on Memorial Day. Was pleased to find one that was open. Tasted a lot of great wines and bought a few bottles. Ms. Masset conducted the tasting and was very cordial and entertaining.

I have to say that Masset Winery is truly a hidden gem! We had a party of 5 that had toured 4 other wineries and Masset was the BEST BY FAR! From the moment you walk into the old restored barn you just feel welcomed! The decor is so beautiful and relaxing, and even a few great gift ideas for those who love to shop! Greg and Michaela are the Winery owners as well as will graciously pour your wine and answer all of your questions. We learned so much from Greg in the hour we were there, from the harvesting process to grape smashing and even the rules for making ice wine, which are strict about even

We spent several days wine tasting in Yakima Valley and Masset wines stood out from the rest. It is not a fancy place and there was no slick salesmanship, just amazing wines to taste with the very knowledgeable wine-maker himself. Our favorites were the 2016 Puncheon Aged Syrah, 2015 Primitivo Red Mountain, and 2012 Winter Harvest Syrah. The owners mother makes pretzels that are the perfect palate cleanser and highly addictive so buy a few bags to take with you on your wine tasting adventure.

Just to get this upfront....I do not like wine. But after visiting here this weekend I have a new found respect for wine. I actually enjoyed it. Every wine we sampled was so smooth, so good. Thank you for a truly enjoyable and excellent experience. I will be back.

The owner is wonderful-inviting and knowledgeable. Family run and quaint. Single varietal barberas are hard to come by and they do it very well.

My friends and I decided last minute to go wine tasting yesterday to show her cousin from Chicago our beautiful valley and of course try our wonderful wines. I have lived in Yakima Valley all of my life and I make it a point to support local businesses. I have been to Masset before but after yesterday's visit my friends and I will not be returning. First, the lady who was pouring got upset when we walked in because we didn't have our own wine glasses since it was Spring Barrel Tasting weekend. Then as 2 of us were paying to begin tasting she started up again about the glasses and

Love their reds. Reasonable prices. Excellent le petit rouge, reserve Syrah, petit Syrah and Ice wine. I don't usually like dessert wines baut this one has a nice honey flavor. The hostess is boisterous but cares about the wine and was able to voice wine their wines taste the way they do no commercial presses here which in my opinion produces less bitter notes.

For Pinot Noir's try zoo region wine country.

Wow what a great time I had there. It is family run business with a wine cat to help out. When we went for the tasting the pourer was so knowledgeable she could rattle of the history of all vintages, blends and how these beautiful wines were made. Even with my limited vocabulary in wine talk she could tell the kinds of wines I would like best. The wine's were superb. I can't wait to go back next trip!!!

This place was hopping with folks coming and going holding out their wine glasses for more. The woman behind the counter was putting on quite the show, pouring wine, or talking about it.

I tried a number of reds but just could not choose one I particularly wanted to bring home in a bottle.

They did have an "oakey" Chard which folks like me were excited about since oakey chards have gone out of favor/fashion.. It just tastes smooth and natural to me.. while the ones that are made without oak seem stark and cold.. like steel! ;) She went on to explain that to her it tasted like chewing

The Pretzel Lady.

The big thing about this small winery is Rachel Ray had a show with the lady from this winery. Apparently she went on the show for these pretzel she makes and sells at her winery. These pretzels can be sampled at the tasting bar. So in my opinion they taste like a tiny rold gold pretzel with some extra garlic and herb flavoring. But hey what doesn't taste good when you're tasting wine all day??

Masset does have some good deals on large format bottles and I would have to say their strengths are Syrahs and Cabs.

Five years ago this was excellent wine at great prices. Fan of the merlot and petit rouge. Now, well, something went very wrong :( sorry but we wish you went back to your old style of wine making. We still love the pretzels though.

I thought that the people at Masset, though a little long winded, were very well informed about their wines and were very passionate about the owners and the product they were selling. We ended up buying a bottle (of something red - I'll update my review with that info) and opened it up the other day and it was REALLY FREAKIN' GOOD.

Masset Winery is run by an executive chef and his wife, who is an artist. Greg makes all the wines, and Michaela is the artist behind their labels and their establishment. They make their wines at 13-19%.

A fairly darkly themed tasting room set, Michaela was running the place by herself when we dropped in for a visit. She seems to be a pretty nice lady, full of smiles, as she answers your questions, although she didn't seem to talk too much otherwise.

Though their wines were good, I don't think there was one that stood out most from their selection for me, but we didn't try a
