Service and the restaurant were good. Everything from the lunch menu was terrible. The shrimp wrap had only 3 shrimp, the fish sandwich was 4 fish burnt nuggets, the pork schnitzel was dry and dark brown, the salad had brown lettuce. The food was inedible. There were very little other diners so the over cooked skimpy food wasn’t due to being busy. I would absolutely not recommend eating here. In the past I understand they had good food. But now they need to fire their cook and whoever allowed that food to be served. Very disappointed.

Dinner at John Wright in the neighboring town to York in Wrightsville, PA Is like coming home to be a part of an enjoyable family reunion. The atmosphere is a pleasant strong, robust, brick and steel historical vibe. The service is amicable and willing to go the extra mile. The lighting is just enough for privacy and the seating arrangements are nurture family-style, get together-Tom Pontz' jazz feel with a selection for indoor or enclosed-outdoor. This building is a remodel of an old warehouse and although music was audible enough for comfortable conversation across the dinner table, the

Absolutely horrible. We understand that staffing issues are a problem so slow service is not something we get upset about these days. However, meals that are so excessively salty are not excusable. We were a table of six and 5 out of the six were horrible. Server never checked and when she did come after we were just done for the evening, letting her know that the kitchen was heavy handed with the salt was met with... OK I let them know.
Never had a great experience here but this was the worst and the last!

Lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating on the Susquehanna river. I had some tasty, if not a bit thick cream of crab and asparagus soup and the rib eye steak which was cooked exactly to my liking and was very flavorful. I have eaten here several times and have always had a very nice time. This place fills up quickly, so I would suggest reservations . While waiting for a table one can always browse the interesting gift shop !

Deserves less then one star. Website is outdated and they don't take on line reservations. We call, only to have some young man sigh heavily and quite dramatically proceed to read off reservation details as if I had interrupted his favorite show or his entire day by calling. Absolutely horrible, unfriendly, clueless. Must be a spot for locals who don't care if anyone else would like to spend their money here. Don't even bother trying.

To sum it up, I couldn't wait to get to my truck to put a Werthers Candy In my mouth to cleanse my palate. This is such a beautiful location and establishment. However, we were really let down by the food. The Pasta with Vodka Sauce was terrible. The noodles were not done which didn't help. They offered to fix it, but we opted to not bother for the sake of time. The Tuna was requested to be medium rare, but it was not even seared. It was mostly cold. They offered to put it back on the grill, but she thought it was ok. It wasn't ok. And it really lacked flavor. Some folks like their tuna raw, I

Always a great evening whether it's with old friends, the kids, relatives, or you're trying to impress for business. Fresh and local menu serves up classic dishes and unique new ones. Patio in the summer with live music gives it that backyard beer garden appeal. Obviously it's right on the water with a perfect view of one of the most picturesque bridges in the country. Service is prompt and I always feel like I dont want the dinner to end. They host weddings as well with a space upstairs for the reception that is completely isolated from the restaurant. They also host fun and unique events such

I gave it a three for the food, would be a two for Covid considerations. First the food...I had the fish tacos. The fish, rice and tortillas were separated on the plate, which is fine, but that's all it was. Chunks of fish, rice and 3 small tortillas. I've never ordered fish tacos where there wasn't some sort of slaw or pineapple blend or something else to put on it. Found it odd. The dessert was fantastic, 5 stars. Had a paw paw special cake with buttercream icing. That was the best part of the meal.
As for Covid precautions, this was a weeknight and the 50% occupancy was not in

Excellent job at keeping socially distant and creating a relaxed environment for diners. They've set up a tent outside to allow for air flow, and all staff are fully masked. Our waiter kept her distance, never invaded our space, and gave us extremely prompt service.
The kitchen here never disappoints. I'm a meat lover, but I'm glad I tried the vegetable lasagna! The fried catfish and peanut butter dessert were decadent, well balanced dishes that left you satisfied in just the right way.
Also, best mojito I've had in 9 years. Most bar tenders over do it on the rum or the

Incredible!! This place is top-notch! Located in a very cool building, right on the waterfront, with a beautiful view of the bridge.
The atmosphere of the place is comfortable, classy, and timeless. Every detail is well thought-out, great mood lighting, tons of natural light throughout the restaurant.
Their menu is astounding; most of it is locally sourced. I had the crap dip, my wife, the braised boar and gnocchi. It was so incredibly delicious, words cannot really describe it.

We stopped here for a Sunday brunch. It was exceptional. All of the food is very fresh, and the sauces that accompanied were perfect. Omelette station, waffle station, French toast, tons of fruit, breakfast meats, and beef burgundy, stuffed chicken and MORE at the breakfast/lunch stations. The building is beautiful and layout is magnificent. The staff are compassionate, kind, and hospitable. They seated us even though we didn’t have reservations. Be sure to call ahead. We will be back. Be sure to stop here, it is AWESOME.

Oh my goodness, yes! What a lovely restaurant right on the water of the Susquehanna. I loved the building and the scenery and huge windows that allow you to see the beautiful river no matter where you're seated in the restaurant.
The food was utterly incredible! I ordered the trout, which came pan seared with garlic green beans and fingerling potatoes. The topping on the trout, which consisted of tomatoes, onion, garlic, olives and capers, was the perfect accompaniment to the light flavor of the trout. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Pork Shank with garlic mashed potatoes and cooked greens

Three stars for now...definitely need to come back. And during warmer weather because I image the view and ambiance change the atmosphere quite a bit. Cute little shop off to the right and nice sized bar.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo. I ordered a grilled chicken cesar salad. What I thought was odd is that the salad was served without the chicken. A flattened chicken breast was served a few minutes later on a separate dish?? The chicken was over cooked and rubbery.
The salad was a normal cesar salad, but I liked the parmesan chips. Everything on the menu seemed reasonably price. I

Went back to the john wright after a day touring distilleries. The lucky guy working was Kevin. Let me tell you...Kevin ROCKED!!!!! We got rhe blackberry infused bourban for a starter until the kitchen opened.
Once the kitchen opened it was open season on the amazing brie and fig and the Nantucket salads.
Wow.
I came out of the restaurant very full and very happy...mostly because of Kevin. Did i mention how Kevin rules??

After kayaking in the river, we stopped here to eat. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the scenery. The ambiance was dreamy with the lighting and view of the river.
I got the caprese salad and was delighted to see fresh ripe tomatoes on it. It barely needed any dressing since it was so fresh. My son got the cheeseburger and gave it a thumbs up. Most others got the pizzas and enjoyed them as well.
I need to hit the redo button on this meal and beautiful night in their patio! Also, the service was perfect and staff were very friendly.
The mayflys were not a problem for us, except they
