We are nestled in beautiful Lancaster county and are surrounded by rolling fields. Our barn sits in the middle of our 25 acre farm. Upon arrival, you and your guests will enter the grounds via a tree lined driveway. From there you could stroll the well-manicured lawn anywhere around the 1852-built farmhouse or the ponds.
These waters are the home to ducks, egrets, herons, turtles, king fishers, and a variety of songbirds. Visit the resident lovebirds Antony and Cleopatra (white swans) or our brood of chickens and our bevy of peacocks. Breathe in the peaceful serenity, and enjoy your very own memory in the making. Services
The owners of Lakefield are Dennis and Eunice Metzler. This couple has owned and maintained the property for the past fourteen years. After their daughter and niece got married on the farm they realized the natural fit that this property is for weddings. The Metzler's like to use their experience from operating a landscaping business for over twenty years to design and maintain their beautiful farm.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value
This place is terrible.
We had to cancel our wedding due to covid last year and they wouldn't give our down payment back. All our other vendors gave us our down payments back because it was the right thing to do. I wonder how many others had to experience this!

Lakefield weddings was our perfect wedding venue. So beautiful, so simple, so rustic. The ceremony locations by the ponds were amazing, we chose the one in front of the willow tree, but there are so many more options. The barn is so beautiful that honestly it doesn't take a lot to decorate it as it is already beautiful as is. Eunice was responsive and answered any and all questions and was eager to assist in any way possible on our rehearsal and wedding days. Location is really lovely, quiet and beautiful. Services provided by the venue were really subpar. It's unacceptable that the owner drove his tractor down to the ceremony location while the bridal party was still taking photos. A better venue would include amenities like set up, clean up and tear down. Things a bride and groom and family shouldn't have to think about on their special day.

We had our wedding at this venue this past July, it was absolutely perfect! The barn, willow tree, and ponds are gorgeous for any wedding and everyone was so kind and so helpful. We got married in the middle of the pandemic and were supposed to have it here at the end of May. Due to COVID we got married anyway in our friends backyard but had to postpone our reception until July. Eunice was so accommodating and helpful with moving our date so that we could still celebrate with everyone the way that we had planned but just on a different day. It was the best experience even in unpredictable times

My wife and I have nothing, but positive things to say about Lakefield Weddings!! We had our wedding there on May 6th of this year and it was a rainy day, but still a perfect day. Our last minute change of an indoor ceremony was still beautiful so if your worried about a rain plan don't worry, because you can make it perfect. The rain stopped when our photographer was ready to do pictures outside and we got AMAZING photos thanks to the beautiful property at Lakefield.
