This place sends out emails that can only be described as extremist and outwardly prejudice towards unvaccinated people, dehumanizing them to the level they are “waiting for the unvaccinated to die.” - what a wonderful sentiment coming from a yogi. Can’t remember which core Buddhist tenet encourages THAT behavior. Staying away from this spiritual black hole.

Wonderful instructors and an excellent variety of classes. This is the best value in town.

1)They could do better with some easier alternate poses in power yoga for some people who are newer to yoga. Their gentle yoga is good too, but it's a bit more rare on the schedule which is why they should give the option of an advanced or easier pose in the power yoga. They should really consider other types of yoga.

2) it is just too darn hot. I think they could strike a balance between a warm temperature that helps you loosen up and one that doesn't make you feel like you're going to

An update to this review:
THEY HAVE KIDS YOGA CLASSES TOO! So the parents can take yoga downstairs while the kids are upstairs studying their yoga!
An epic studio with a policy I feel as a Yoga practitioner, Teacher & Yoga Teacher Trainer, for 30 years, I find is keenly appropriate for our times:
Practitioners of every level practice side by side, as the teacher guides students through postures, offering optional modifications for more or less advanced students.
The company has three spaces to practice in. One main studio that offers yoga & dance as well as pop ups as different teachers visit

I love that I can pick between yoga, kickboxing, and trx classes! This place is affordable (compared to other classes in Marin) and every teacher I've had there was incredible. It feels like a community and I really enjoyed everyone I met there.

The only problem is that the classes are WAY too hot. Even on warm days, the room is heated. I find it incredibly distracting when I'm slipping all over mat from sweat and all I can think about is how uncomfortable I am. I would love if they offered more classes that aren't heated!

MPY is more than a studio, it's a community and you can feel it right when you enter the room. The heat is set at just the right temp to warm the muscles but not too harsh or distracting where you feel vulnerable through heart openers or otherwise more accessible postures. The instructors cue from the foundation of the pose working toward the crown and walk throughout the studio helping students with personal alignment either with verbal and/or physical assists. The yoga format builds upon each pose leading up to the arc posture and is structured in such a way that this would be a great

This is the best studio I've found since moving from L.A. to the Bay Area.

The studio is bright and airy but simple. The teachers strike a great balance between creating an uplifting meditative atmosphere while delivering a butt-kicking workout - all without ego, fake spirituality, clouds of patchouli or long therapy-session rants. Just you, the people around you and the practice.

If you are looking for strong vinyasa teachers who are experienced enough to be able to teach a class that can keep everyone challenged from newbies to experts, without ego or the trappings of yoga-identity, this

This is the first time I've ever enjoyed yoga. Amy was a doll. The class was upbeat, modern, and fun, with great music. Solid workout. I'vetried about 10 yoga classes at various places, and have loathed nearly every one. I'll be back to MPY for sure. Thanks for helping me give yoga a chance :-). Their new app is slick and easy to use. Oh, and the free first class was a really nice surprise. Thanks Amy!

Had the most enjoyable early morning power yoga class at this gorgeous studio on my way through town. The instructor was so welcoming and her class was a great flow with some fun challenges and sequences along the way. I'll certainly be back the next time I'm in town!

After years of being surrounded by people who do yoga, I took my first class at MPY in January. I got the recommendation from another mom who had very good things to say about the teaching and the community at MPY.

The location is excellent in our cozy town of San Anselmo, off the beaten path yet surrounded by hoody coffee shops and stores. The main room has good proportions and natural light from 3 large clerestory windows. It can hold many practitioners without feeling overwhelming. The sound system is good and, in most cases, volume and repertoire is well managed by the instructor.

I've been practicing here for almost a year now! Marin power yoga is a very special and healing studio. Mostly all of the Yoga instructors are there to help and watch you grow! (I absolutely love Wendy!) Whether you walk in for strength, a self esteem boost, flexibility, or meditation you will walk out with so much more. They also have TRX, STOP DROP AND DANCE, KICK BOXING, DIFFERENT TYPES/LEVELS FOR YOGA, and more!

I can't say enough positive things about this yoga, TRX, dance & kickboxing studio! After finishing an hour of kickboxing with drills on a heavy bag, I feel energized. In the past two weeks, I've only tried kickboxing and yoga classes, but I'm super impressed. Their classes are challenging and supportive. Ok, TKO kickboxing is just plain fun.

Can't wait to try a dance class tomorrow. Can you say variety! It's impossible to get bored here. The instructors are friendly and know their stuff.

The place is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Only recommendation

I just took my first class at Marin Power Yoga. I don't know what took me so long to check this place out. I think I have finally found my yoga home!

Pros:
+Wendy was phenomenal--- she provided safe and clear instructions, greeted every student and said hello to each, and provided individual attention and adjustments to everyone throughout the class.
+The class provided a great challenge for all levels of yogis, and yogis who needed to take rest were always encouraged to do so.
+The temperature was perfect! Some yoga studios are real *hot* yoga studios. My body can't handle 100+ degree

I have been going to MPY regularly for a year and half now. The studio space is big and open and the teachers are all great, especially Araceli who teaches both Vinyasa/power yoga and TRX. The 6am power yoga classes are my favorite way to start the day. The 8am vinyasa rise and shine on Saturdays is an excellent class as well.

You are always remembered by name and truly feel a part of the community at MPY no matter how frequent you visit, I highly recommend!

As a guy I was a bit apprehensive to go to Marin Power Yoga. I'm sure glad that I went, although after a TRX class I had trouble walking down my stairs for several days afterwards! Nonetheless, I have returned to a couple more TRX classes since (and walking downstairs is getting easier after each class!).

From Yoga to TRX, I've been nothing but impressed by the quality of instruction, friendliness of instructors, ease of sign-up, pricing structure, etc.

Love love love.
Just finished the 6pm class with Amy & I can't say enough about her, both as a person and as a teacher. That's kindof the general theme of MYP though..... welcoming, nonjudgemental and just 'cool'.
The main yoga room is open and airy, with beautiful wood floors and nice natural lighting. The perfect setting to sweat or completely relax in savasana. I seriously could have stayed in savasana tonight for an hour after Amy pressed my shoulders gently with a light lavender scented lotion. Yea...they do that.
This studio is the type of place you call your second

I've been to three classes at Marin Power Yoga, each with different instructors, and I'm really impressed with the high quality of their yoga teachers. I especially loved how Sean led us through transitions - that level of instruction makes your practice feel powerful.
My current favorite things about this studio? - They sell kombucha on tap. For real, boys and girls. MPY's logo is also a sweet portrait of the coolest of Hindu gods, Ganesha.
The studio has a large practice space, so there's always room to throw out your mat, and the lighting is natural, with skylights and large front windows

I do yoga twice a week- free yoga classes at Lululemon or at 24 Hour Fitness. Since Lululemon Corte Madera has stopped offering their serenity Sunday yoga classes, I thought I would capitalize on the free class passes that the instructors have been passing out when they come in to teach a class at Lululemon, as an opportunity to check out the different studios.

I was on the last day of my 3 day juice cleanse, so I wasn't looking for my usual vinyasa or power yoga class, especially because I had heard the room was heated. Helaine's yin yoga class was just what I needed! Especially coming

I so dig this place- MPY is truly a community of good peeps. The instructors and classes are geared to all levels so I never hesitate to bring even my most inflexible friends along. It's not the hot sweaty formula power yoga either- classes vary and are done in a mildly warm room to promote flexibility. Love the music in class to keep you inspired!

Just introduced my 12 year old and her friends to MPY and they like it too- sure seems like yoga's the ticket to get teens off their devices and back into their bodies. And adults too...
