Limb shortening due to structural bone loss in tibiotalocalcaneal arthrodesis is a concern that can negatively impact the patient's gait and weight-bearing. To aid in preventing the risk of limb shortening, the use of a femoral head allograft and intramedullary nail in tibiotalocalcaneal arthrodesis has been shown to successfully preserve limb length in patients with structural bone deficits.
Each year, Dr. Watson organizes a Sock and Shoe Drive in Downtown Las Vegas, providing socks, shoes, gloves and hats to struggling people. Dr Watson discusses the 7th Annual Shoes & Socks Donation Drive with 13 Action News Las Vegas. The segments discusses how Dr. Watson participated in foot screenings, the shoes that were donated by Zappos and the socks that were provided by students at Delweb Middle School.

The Achilles tendon is the strong band of tissue that connects the calf muscle to the heel and helps you point your foot downward and push off as you walk. If stretched too far, the tendon can tear (rupture), causing severe pain in the ankle and lower leg that can make it difficult or impossible to walk.

I arrived 20 minutes early to my 10 AM appointment as I was told. When I arrived, it was obvious that the clinic had overbooked itself. I asked the lady working at the front desk if I was going to be seen on time or at least around my scheduled time. She said that I was next in line to be seen by the doctor so I sat down and waited. Two other people were called before me which was confusing because I was told I was next. By the time 10:45 AM came around, I went up to the lady at the front desk who had checked me in and told her that I needed to cancel because it seemed like I wouldn’t be seen

I absolutely love and trust Dr Troy Watson! He knows what he is doing. I've been in emergency rooms, other Drs have been thru 33 surgeries and believe me out of all the Drs and specialists that I have seen he is one of two Drs that I trust completely the other one is Dr Cheryl Brewer who has given me 6 of my 7 cancer surgeries. Drs like Dr Watson should be everywhere but sadly I haven't found Drs that measure as well.

This Dr ruined me. He did not do an MRI which would have shown I have Achilles disorder which I found out on my own AFTER the fact when I demanded the MRI. I walk worse, my foot is longer and taller than the other and my tarsel tunnel is worse, per my nerve Dr. Stay far, far away.

Dr. Troy Watson and his dream team at Desert Orthopedic Center provided me with the best care imaginable last year. I am extremely picky about doctors and often go out of state to LA or the Cleveland Clinic for my medical care, but Dr. Watson, who performed a double surgery on an arthritic big toe and a weak ankle (left foot) in November, did such a wonderful job that I was actually able to run after two months – at 72 years old! As I used to do competitive running, and love to stay active, this is extremely important to me! In fact, by doing this surgery, the first operation I have ever had

Dr. Watson performed an ankle bone fusion remediation surgery. The Doctor that performed the surgery the year before had done an exceedingly poor job. I saw a specialist due to the pain that persisted after the first surgery. That ankle specialist referred me to Dr. Watson explaining that if he had this same issue that he would go to Dr Watson as well. Dr. Watson did an excellent job and his staff is much more helpful than I deserved. I highly recommend Dr. Watson and his staff.

I had a terrible break on my ankle and fibula. Dr. Watson and his team showed an incredible amount of empathy as they prepared me for what needed to be done so I would be able to walk again. Since I was completely sedated for the surgery I don’t remember it but my wife told me that Dr. Watson came out to the waiting room and explained to her everything that was done during the procedure. The care in the follow up by Dr. Watson and his staff was amazing, always making sure that the healing process would go as planned. I am pain free and back to doing what I did before my accident. I am lucky to
