This is the boat trip to take!!
After agonizing over all the boat trip options of the Na Pali coast, we finally decided on the Experience company and we were not disappointed. Our guide was Chellen and he was terrific. We learned so much on the tour and Chellen was so interesting and informative. The advantage of our smaller boat allowed us to enter caves on the coast including one with an island inside it and we got to go right through waterfalls. We met 2 pods of porpoise who traveled with us for a while and saw beautiful fish and turtles during our snorkeling time. Then we had some great pineapple

Connected with Mike for a spearfishing outing. He's extremely knowlegable about the sport and the fish we were swimming amounst (he studied marine biology!). Taught me a lot about best catching practices and gave great instruction before letting get out there and experience it for myself. Also help to know he had extensive lifeguard training in case the current got rough. All around great trip and would recommend connecting with Mike to plan all you outdoor activity needs.

Mike is wonderful. He is maybe the kindest, warmest guy on the island.
We did a canoe sail to scatter my Mother's ashes in Hanalei Bay and he could not have been more understanding, appropriately compassionate, fun (he even made it fun at times!), he did a great job taking social cues and gave my siblings and I just the experience we wanted.
Del (I think) his shipmate was also lovely. We wanted to use them again for other activities that he offers but ran out of time, we were there for a wedding, turns out those things are kind of consuming. I would use him again for lessons, tours or

Mike was great. The equipment was excellent, the guidance to use Princeville Ranch Adventures was fantastic, and the surfing lesson worked the trick. Everyone in the family was able to get up in the board and had a great time.
We loved the zip lining across the board, it was fantastic and one of our favorite things we have ever done together on vacation.

My cousins and I took a surf lesson with Mike, who was awesome. He walked us through everything, from wave formations to safety, before actually take us out. He used to be a life guard (in CA and on Kauai) which was comforting to know my chances of drowning were minimal :o) One of my cousins had taken a lesson with him two years ago, and everything Mike taught him must have stuck because he got right up. I, on the other hand, looked more like an injured seal trying to stay afloat. Mike didn't give up on me though. Mostly I was just limited by my own lack of upper body strength and endurance
