Our office locations are in Seattle, Monroe and Arlington, and you can easily reach us by telephone or email. Since 1947, the staff at our Seattle, WA office has been helping families, individuals, and business owners protect what matters most. We pride ourselves on providing prompt, efficient, friendly and high-quality customer service. Our office is conveniently located right off I-5 in the University District.
C. Don Filer opened our first insurance office in 1947 in the heart of Ballard, at the corner of Ballard Avenue and Market Street. This office was a well-known part of the community and served local residents for over 70 years. We have recently closed this location and merged Ballard with our Seattle office, located at 4201 Roosevelt Way NE, with an agent assigned primarily to our Ballard Community residents.
We opened the doors to our Monroe, WA office in 1980 and have been consistently providing the local community with friendly, efficient and honest insurance services. We are committed to helping clients understand their insurance coverages and the options available for their specific needs. Our goal is to help clients make an informed decision about their insurance.
The staff at our Arlington, WA office has over 90 years of combined insurance experience. We are dedicated to providing prompt, efficient, friendly and high-quality customer service and are confident we can find the right solution for you, your family or your business.

The C. Don Filer Agency has served me extremely well for over 40 years. Their advice, when I was in my 20s, helped me understand the basics and set me on a path of paying attention to the critical part insurance plays during life. Their staff is super helpful, friendly and show a personal interest in understanding my needs. I especially appreciate their super quick response time. I recommend them as an excellent partner for all insurance needs. Oh, and they stay on top of market changes. They were even able to help me find health insurance on the State web site.

The C. Don Filer Agency has handled my law firm's insurance requirements for more than 35 years. This includes providing my firm with ancillary services and products, such as appellate bonds, notary insurance coverage and notarial bonds. The C. Don Filer Agency also provided insurance coverage for me personally during at least the past 35 years, including insurance for my homes, autos, airplanes and the usual assortment of toys that require insurance.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. If I could give 0 stars I would, and there is one single person that has been so terrible that previous good service from this insurance provider has become a nightmare. I've never been harassed in my life to the extent that Julie Schroeder, one of their Insurance Executives, has harassed me.

I always get prompt, friendly and thorough service from the C. Don Filer Agency, and have for decades now. They've taken care of my homeowner's and auto insurance, even before that when I had renter's insurance- over 25 years ago! Great customer service is becoming harder and harder to find. I worked with David at Don Filer when my wife and I were having big struggles adequately navigating the WA health planner website for insurance. David displayed with ease why people often need a broker. I wasted so much time trying to do it myself and, in hindsight, realize I never would have been successful without his help. I can't recommend this agency highly enough. They were recommended to me years ago by a Safeco rep when I bought a policy online and needed some fine-tuning. I ended up switching all of our policies (auto, home, umbrella) over to them and I've gotten great service. Whenever we've had a life change (new car/solar panels/bought a rental) our agent has thoughtfully reviewed our package to make sure we're getting the best coverage, but not unnecessary coverage. Friendly, local business, love them!

We worked with Shari at C Don Filer to obtain General Commercial Liability insurance for our newly formed non-profit. Because we were so new, we had problems finding someone who would cover us at a reasonable rate. Shari worked with us over the phone and email and got our coverage taken care of in one day. We would highly recommend C Don Filer to any non-profit seeking GCL coverage.
