Olive West Apartments

Moved-in September, love this place! The units are quite, gated community, very clean. Covered parking, a great move-in deal. Easy to apply for, very friendly staff. I get a lot of delivery from Amazon, online vendors and all deliveries are safely placed in front of my door. They do have a lot of Squirrels...lol. My patio is huge, The units are large, I have 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. The heaters are older vintage units that do not keep the rooms warm. However, I bought my own portable heaters so that's okay warm and toasty now. I didn't call for service I'm sure if I called they would

- Unfair business practices: management refused a move-out inspection but still subtracted hundreds from my deposit
- Structures have paper-thin walls that caused noise to interfere with my work and sleep
- Noise pollution included loud children who congregated outside my balcony each evening
- Other noises included lawnmowers on Thursdays at 8am that shook my apartment
- If rent is a day late, expect daily notices taped to your door demanding a $50 late fee
- A star for gated parking, though secure parking is nearly ubiquitous in Sunnyvale

Stayed at olive west for 2 years.

Overall a great apartment complex, grocery stores close by, nice community, complex well kept. Water and sewer included in rent (only place I have lived in Bay Area which does that) in short, they don't over charge utilities or move out like other communities. Only downside - no AC in Bay Area summer and no in unit laundry.

Leasing office - Linda was the only constant, great to work with, she kept having different assistants who were just bad. Once one of the assistant claimed I had not dropped rent cheque, I argued I had while at work and couldn&apos

Good experience with the community previously. However, recently, very bad attitude from management team. Very rude response! Ironically, they are increasing rent every year with deteriorated service! That's why lots of people moving out recently.

Terrible attitude! rude response to query! I only got good experience interaction with Lina Nguyen, however, I have not seen her recently sad...

Undoubtedly the best apartments in terms of “value for money”. The Community amenities are the best in the business. The community lush green lawns and the greenery are well maintained. The main downsides are there is no in-unit washer/dryer and there is no central AC.

We stayed in this apartments for longer time (more than 5yrs). Only thing I can see is they don't have washer and dryer in units. But has a shared ones well maintained. Also no Air conditioner. But have good heating in the units. Other than that the over all maintenance is extremely good. I lost my keys couple of times and management turned me new ones within no time (of course with money). Linda is a great manager. Gated community and kids can play well on walk ways. Always clean walk ways - no pets. Safe to stay. The floor plans are good and big for the amount in Sunnyvale. Living in this apartment for past 2 years. We love the environment, safe place to live, management resolves issues in a day. Swimming pool, Tennis courts, Snooker, Table tennis facilities are awesome. Best place to live.

We lived here for around 4 years, great experience. Safeway, Sprouts, Indian grocers in close proximity. Very well maintained apartments and laundry rooms. And on top of that rents include utilities and covered car parking, it can't get better than this. Moving out just because no 2 bed apt available right now, highly recommend this place.

Awesome apartments at the price they are offered at, gym is sub power, apartments are old style.

I have been a resident of Olive West for more than 3 years. The community is located close to El Camino and offers resturant / grocerry in close proximity. The leasing office staff are friendly and are prompt to address any maintenance issues. The complex has swimming, tennis court. Laundry is well maintained.

I lived here for around 2 years - the place is centrally located and the good layout of the apartment - i had a unit facing the road which was really nice

The rent is based on the market and depending on the conditions they change things so one has to really do the calculations
1. The rent will go up by 5 % every year
2. Garbage/sewage etc are separate - so that that adds ups in one bill (confusing)
3. the deposit you paid - would never be be returned - they will find some excuse to ensure you get minimal or nothing - even if you left the apartment in the same condition

Very bad and rude management (everybody except Linda). Avoid at all cost if you are a person who values pleasant interactions. They have the worst attitude that i have ever seen in office people.

Apartments are good but 1 star for management. Management is very rude and one lady is a liar. They should be more professional and less harsh. They don't have online system for rent payment, we need to drop the checks to leasing office every month. Also, they charge extra 50$ additional fee if the checks are not dropped in business hours. Once they closed the office early and did not collect our check and lied that you came late, had called on the office phone, but it went to voice mail. They argued on this and not at all professional behavior.

A great place to live..I found it lovly, though little smaller apartments but manageable. Gym, Games room, 2 pools, tennis court are good enough. I will not say management is best but okayish. Didn't come accross a negative aspect yet.

I currently live here. I wouldn't say management is rude but they are cold. They respond to you quick and are willing to help you. They just give you a cold face. I've also never really deal with them often. Only time was moving in.

The apartment is nice. Pretty modern and spacious. The place was cleaned when I moved in. TV reception here sucks if you use an antenna. Our room is also on the bottom floor and gets practically no light. Some afternoons, I just want to cut myself in the living room due to how gloomy it gets.

Enjoyed staying here for more than 3 years. Nice management, immediate response for any maintenance request. The best thing is they don't oversale you anything.

Lived here from 2007-2011 and really liked it here. Well maintained apartments, gated car parking, beautiful landscaping, great amenities and centrally located. Scores high on the walk score - lot of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. CA-85 and CA-237 are close by.

They would come by quickly to fix any issues I had. They have a small gym, tennis courts and club house.

Rents went up and down depending on demand and was always reasonable.

I lived here for 3 yrs and i love this place..i never had any issues with management.. maintenance is too good... they mostly come on the same day i complain or max next day..groceries, pharmacy.lucky,safeway,food centers are all in walk able distance! full of indian community nice nature i feel like home here..for 6 months and 12 months lease they charge the same price..even yr by yr they increase the rates in a very reasonable way...no hidden charges you don't even have to pay for garbage,water or home insurance.It has a very pretty landscaping,lot of space to walk inside the apt, larger

I finally spent a year here.Management is still rude :) but I realised they are like that . Overal I had good experience living here.

So as I was apartment shopping, I came across this place. Leasing office people could definitely be a bit more professional and less harsh. Maybe it's a cultural thing *shrug*

Regardless, I didn't intend to deal with management much if I had decided to move in, but the apartment room was not at all appealing to me. I'm pretty whatever about things, give me a roof and parking and I'm straight.

But, I do have minimal standards. paint chippings, mold, rude management, poor parking, unmaintained facilities - though, they have well cut grass :)

Very bad & rude management. Safety is unheard of. Although this place is a Gated community - the gate is almost always open. Neighborhood is bad, with low income students frequently knocking on doors seeking scholarship at odd hours. Huh! Try letting the management know, they will say thats its your problem.
Appliances are out dated, they have a pool that is not in a usable condition for nearly a year now.
You put with all this because, the rent is reasonable. heck! no wonder!
