Unfortunately, this realty company doesn't know how to professionally handle and resolve simple situations. As we were settling in the first night, I noticed excessive dog hair all over the white floor boards. When I went to wipe them off, I also wiped the gray floors (which hide a lot). The amount of dog hair was outrageous. I continued to wipe and was shocked that amount never let down. Additionally, the floors were filthy and were in desperate need of a deep clean. My husband did an initial mopping that made it bareable to walk on.

We stayed at one of the condos Shoreline OBX manages in Duck. We had such a wonderful experience. Not only was "Favorite Song" charming, but it was perfect for us. Cleanliness was impeccable and the maintenance crew was amazing! They helped deliver a new couch and they did more of the work than the actual movers. We can't say enough about the home and the company, it made our 2 month stay a total delight!

We booked a rental for my wife’s 40th birthday.
The rate was published in VRBO and we booked it.
Then the VBRO confirmation, shoreline confirmation and welcome, and deposits from both were charged.
Then, a week later, they said the rates were not right and it would be TRIPLE the rate published.
They should have honored the published rental rate and initial contract, especially given I had the welcome confirmation and already paid deposits.
Unfortunately they don’t get any slap on the hand other than reimbursing.
Now us as renters are left out to dry to find another property with less

We just came home from renting Flyway. The house was in bad condition. It had so many problems I could not even call maintenance for all of them. It had a bad water leak in the one bedroom which caused the wood to mold. The leak started when my sister used the jets in the tub in her bathroom and it came flowing out and soaked blankets, pillows, and clothing in the bedroom in the lower level. My family was un able to use that closet all week due to leak. They did not fix it properly till when I left (If they fixed it at all). My sister did not get to use the hot tub all week due to leak. We have been using Shoreline as our management company for 7 years now after having used another management company for a few years. We have been very pleased with the friendliness and competence of the staff. The office staff multitask and they all seem to know who I am when I call. I totally rely on Mike Penn and his team to keep our house in top top shape with needed repairs and advice on contractors for projects too big for them to handle. ShorelineOBX has been the management company for my rental property for over 4 years. They do a great job keeping it rented throughout the season. The maintenance department does a wonderful job keeping the property maintained and fixing any issue a guest might have in a timely manner. We bought a beach house in Kitty Hawk, NC 5 years ago. We have had the pleasure or working with Shoreline OBX for these 5 year. They are the BEST...very nice to work with, very thoughtful and kind people..We have had NO issues with their cleaning staff , the office staff or their maintenance staff. They have done an excellent job of keeping our house rented and taking care of our renters every need. We highly recommend them as a rental agent for your home. They are hard working, dedicated , and responsible .

The team at Shoreline OBX was very helpful and responsive to questions about an upcoming rental. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip last minute (literally the day before) and they kept us informed as they found someone to rent the property for some of our week. We ultimately received a significant amount of our money back though they were not necessarily obligated to and we really appreciated it.

They have helped guide my husband and me, with patience, through being a new rental property owners. The whole staff is always pleasant, even when you know they have been amazingly busy this summer!
