Doctors Hospital is now United Memorial Medical Center. Under new management, we are looking at some exciting new times. We are restructuring to bring in new technology and partners to better serve our community. The Dialysis Centre at UMMC provides two types of dialytic therapies to patients with end-stage renal disease. The two types of dialysis include haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Haemodialysis involves an artificial kidney machine that filters and removes waste products and fluids from the blood.
The ENT Department at UMMC mainly focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders in adults and children. Diseases of the ear, nose and throat are common and often under-treated due to a lack of awareness of the new developments in this speciality. This department provides affordable and best-in-class treatment for a wide range of emergency and non-emergency services.
Gastroenterology refers to the diseases of the stomach, oesophagus, small intestine, pancreas, colon and rectum, bile ducts, liver, and gallbladder. The function of the entire digestive system comes under the preview of this speciality. The Gastroenterology department at UMMC is a centre of excellence that has experts in handling all gastroenterology cases.
Our general surgery is top-notch that leads to minimal complications and pain resulting in faster recovery and superior outcomes post-treatment. General surgery is a specialty that focuses on the surgical management of the endocrine system, liver, pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, and rectum. These surgeries involve treatment for medical conditions such as Hernia, Piles, Appendicitis, Gall Bladder Stones, Fistula, swellings, and ulcers, etc.

This place is the worst place to have your love one in. They did not take care of my dad good. My fathers doctor never called my sister (who is POA of my father) back when she tried so many time to talk to him. Nurses never know what is going on if you need an update on your love one. This is a vary poor place to take your love ones too. Please please do not take them here.

I went through the Covid drive through on Wertheimer at 3:50 we had arrived while getting out of the car the lady said she was close. I was confused since she doesn't close till 6 and my mother was extremely sick and had to drive 30 minutes here for the test. I asked her nicely would it be possible for her to just test my mother and she replied were close so rudely. Never in my life had I had to deal with a health care provider with such attitude especially towards a visually sick women with her 16 year old daughter. I came to the location on beltway8 and imperial valley after testing positive a week ago I didn't want to get out my car .the nurse that was ther was extremely was rude she was cursing me out .all I told her was isn't ther a line since I have been waiting in my car in the line that was formed by other cars , she said no line you should have asked .people were just walking up for testing she was extremely rude I wasnt about to let her touch me and she shouldn't be this rude early in the morning at 9 am .

If you have a loved one who's fallen ill to Covid. I strongly suggest not to take them here. Take them anywhere, but there. They aren't qualified (imo) to care for people with Covid. The head doctor in charge [Dr. J.Varon] is never to be seen or heard from (unless it's on TV) . I understand he's busy, but come on. Have the decency to speak to your patients loved ones. At least ONCE.

Our children attend university in the area that required COVID screening prior to move-in. University arranged testing via UMMC on campus. Arrived early to the testing appointment, only to wait in line an hour and 45 minutes. Figured out why when got to the front of the line- the workers were taking breaks every few minutes, so the line never moved. Only one person out of the several was working at any time, and one could tell from their attitude, they did NOT like their job. Fast forward to results- promised results 3-5 business days. NOPE. Do not come here for covid testing your results will take forever. you can not call anyone for your results, nobody will have an answer for you. if you show up to the testing site they will not be able to help you if you call the hotline on the billboard 866-333-2684 and press the options for results it will automatically hang up on you. if you call 281-618-8500 they will tell you " we dont keep your records here, we dont have any information for you". i have to go some where else to get retested. i was tested on 06/16/2020 and its 06/23/2020 no results. go some where else !

Was tested for COVID at their Houston Community college southeast campus drive thru center on June 8th, 2020. I have been trying to get in contact with UMMC and called last week and was on hold for over two hours and no success in getting in contact with someone. Left a voicemail with my information and still no call back. Today is June 23, 2020 still no results. This is a hazardous to the public to be without results this long.

This COVID 19 testing site is unacceptable and frankly unsafe for the public. We have been waiting 12 days for our test results which were promised within 3-5 business days. They do not answer their phone (they even hang up on you while on hold) and do not respond to emails. They do not provide results in a timely manner. How many people have they tested that are positive and do not know it because it takes so long to get results? This is a public health hazard.
