Formerly, he served as Pastor of another St. Anthony's - St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Gardena. He was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the Boyle Heights neighborhood, attending Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic School and St. John's Seminary. Fr. George has been a priest for 36 years. This visit proved to be the first of many enjoyed by our entire school community over the coming weeks and months.
The mission of St. Anthony High School is to intentionally form young women and men into Saints. We define a Saint as a faith-filled servant leader who embodies the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love in order to glorify God. Our reason for forming Saints is simple. We live in a culture that constantly challenges our Faith and Hope as well as our ability to Love.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Anthony High School, home of the SAINTS! In 1920, the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary opened the doors to the only Catholic high school in Long Beach. From that day forward, 100 years and counting, St. Anthony High School has been educating learners, leaders and SAINTS!
St. Anthony High School's Consultative School Board was founded in 2002 to provide direction and vision for the high school to ensure a quality Catholic education and guarantee the sustainability of the school. A "Consultative School Board", as defined in "A Primer On Educational Governance In The Catholic Church", assists the President and Principal in the governance of the school.
St. Anthony High School (SAHS) is located at 620 Olive Avenue in Long Beach, California, near the heart of downtown within the City's vibrant Arts District. High school buildings are adjacent to St. Anthony Church, the founding Parish, and St. Anthony Elementary School. SAHS was founded in 1920 as Long Beach's first and only Catholic high school, built on St. Anthony Parish property, designed to serve the entire greater Long Beach area.

If you are a regular student, the small class sizes and strong bonding will be a sell for you. If you are an athlete and have talent, you can't lose while being on scholarship here. Brian Walsh is a strong recruiter and wants top athlete to come through this school so either you need to be a student with a wealthy upbringing or an athlete with skills to make this school your home.

Love S.A.!! I'm proud to say I graduated from S.A. in 1992, My daughter Jazz graduated in 2014 and my son Dre graduated in 2016! We are now all Alumni if S.A. Mr. Shaubert the Principle is the best! He really helped us out and I appreciate the school providing me with financial assistance otherwise I wouldn't of been able to send my kids to this school. I wanted my kids to receive the best education while learning more about our Catholic Faith and I knew Saint Anthony would give them both. I highly recommend this school to anyone who has children ready for High School!!

Worst School Ever
St Anthony high school is a complete joke I wouldn't send even the lowest of kids to this hell hole. I sent my daughter to St. Anthony for four years because I feared the public school system but boy was that a mistake. Wilson or poly are much better options my youngest daughter is now attending poly and while it’s not the best school in the world it’s a much much better school then St. Anthony. I was attracted to St. Anthony's the same way I think a lot of parents are I heard the principal speak he spit out all these good facts about the school he’s a real salesman. He
