Services
Thank you for supporting family-owned, independent, local small restaurants in Asheville and wherever you travel. Sunny Point Caf is a family owned, independent restaurant serving upscale comfort food from dawn to dark. Whether you want breakfast for dinner or a scrumptious dessert for breakfast we would love to satisfy your craving.
Sunny Point Caf is helping to raise funds, awareness, and expand community engagement with local nonprofits.

Since pausing our envelope donation program, we have supported Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice with 10% of sales on designated days, helped to promote Dine IN For Life (the annual fundraising event for WNCAP in support of HIV prevention, care, and harm reduction services), and are a sponsor of our local West Asheville Tailgate Market.
We are often asked how we keep squirrels out of the garden. We don't, instead we distract them. We have found that they absolutely love sunflowers, as do many visiting bids, bees and other insects. In one word, sunflowers. Sunflowers are located all around our garden perimeter and periodically throughout the garden.
Our Huevos Rancheros made it to the top four breakfast dishes in a Good Morning America contest a few years back. It has always been a favorite of customers and now you can make it at home! A signature dish at Sunny Point Caf, these Huevos Rancheros are comprised of multiple recipes that are assembled and served with made-to-order eggs on top.

Do not sleep on this place. The maple bacon?? Heavenly. The service?? So kind. The fruit side?? Not your average lame wet cantelope, we're talking FRESH berries and more. The eggs?? Fluffy and warm. Basically RUN don't walk to sunny point cafe.

We love coming to Asheville mainly for this cafe! Everyone's always incredibly nice. Food is always amazing! And we have that they have a heated patio where we can sit with our dogs. Shrimp and grits is where it's at, also love their bacon. The avocado toast is also great!

Food was pretty good, breakfast mixed drinks were also good! Had the avocado toast and coffee mixed drink. Wait time is a bit much. Worth the try but def recommend to get there early to beat the crowd!

This was our first stop in Asheville as we drove in for a weekend trip. We are foodies, and this was the best brunch we’ve ever had. Everything is cooked and flavored to perfection and so unique and comforting. We regret not going back again that weekend for a second meal here. You can’t go wrong with the chicken waffle sandwich or stuffed french toast! Even their fries were perfectly seasoned! Hot jam and pimento cheese 😍 The staff is also very friendly and honestly recommends the food. Seriously, run don’t walk here. Sunny Point Cafe itself is sure to bring us back to Asheville.

This place was recommended to me by one of my friends. The wait was incredibly long, but they allow you to order drinks while you wait. I opted to order a spicy bloody mary since everyone had one. It was fantastic!! While eating I opted to try a marga-mosa also a good pick! Their chicken and waffles weren't as great as everyone described. I really enjoyed the french toast though!

I liked the french toast a lot more. I would come back but maybe during a weekday instead of the weekend simply because the wait time and service was a little slow. All staff was really friendly & ambiance is

Love the ambiance and the food was delish, but be prepared to wait outside for the majority of your visit. Luckily it happened to be sunny when we visited so that took some of the chill off while we waited in line. We tried a little of everything but my favorite was the black bean cakes.
There's very limited parking so likely you'll have to park down the block and walk over. Order at the hut outside then be seated and wait for your food to arrive. Tables are small and we had a hard time fitting 4 meals together.
Would return

This place is amazing, but it's an experience. Don't expect to have a quick in and out meal. They have perfected each step of the way so you're not just waiting. In the line, you have ready access to laminated copies of the menu (find them halfway up the stone walkway in a box) and they will come around to take drink orders. They keep signs updated with wait times from ordering to receiving food. You get to the front of the line, put in your order and take a number. They will then text you when your table is ready, you will put your number sign on your table, and your food will arrive thereafter

Hands-down one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! We got a breakfast sandwich (subbed a biscuit instead of the croissant), breakfast burrito, and split a carrot cake pancake! Long wait, but so so worth it. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back one day!

We showed up a little before 830am and the line was already long. You order at check in then they seat you. Food was beyond amazing. Eggs so fluffy and good, candied bacon, huge omlettes, thick sausage patties. Its worth the price, if I could give 6 stars I would.

Stopped here on our Asheville getaway and we were not disappointed- we came for breakfast. There was a slight wait but it was worth it. Really enjoyed our meal and sat outside in the outdoor seating area The best part was the local garden on the premises where all the fresh veggies and flowers were grown. Serious farm to table and local eating !! We had the huevos ranchero and avocado toast and chipotle grits. Delicious! I will definitely come again on my next trip to Asheville !

This cafe hit the spot for lunch. The food came out relatively quickly and was delicious. If you're looking for a fully stuffed burrito look no further! I always try to order a chai if it's available and theirs was good - slightly watered down, but a good way to warm up on a colder day.

This has probably been one of the best breakfasts/brunches I've had in a long time! I thought their process for managing a huge line was actually quite efficient. You wait in line, order, then take a number. When a table is available, they call your number then you sit. Only then is your food brought to you. Despite decent crowds on a Saturday morning, we probably only waited 10 minutes for a table, then 15 minutes for our food to be brought out.

The dishes here are outstanding. Wonderfully made, lots of flavor, and I would get the stuffed french toast again and again! The blueberry lemon

There are so many things wrong with this place, it overshadows what's good.

The GOOD:
1. The food. I ordered the avocado toast and my girlfriend ordered the French toast. Both were large portions and yummy.

The BAD:
1. The line system is AWFUL. People wait in the line because this restaurant has become a place of interest in Asheville. If you aren't there early, expect to be there for 2-3 hours easily from start to finish. We got there at 9:15am and it was a two hour ordeal from start to finish. We waited in line for about 15-20 min before giving our order, then another 20-30 min outside

When we are visiting Asheville we decided to try out the sunny point cafe! When we got there we knew it was going to be a 90 minute wait but it was a beautiful day and they served drinks while you waited so we went for it. We ended up waiting THREE HOURS total between ordering at the counter, being seated and then finally getting our food. I was so hangry by the time we got our food I really couldn't even enjoy it lol

Looking back the cheeseburger I got was fine but definitely was not worth a three hour wait. To be fair I don't think any cheeseburger would ever be worth that wait.

I read reviews that people stand in the rain to get in this place?!? And we did just that, but the line moved fairly quickly, drink orders were filled immediately and outside picnic tables w umbrellas were available to stand under until a table was available. The bloody Mary made the wait time zip by and breakfast was definitely worth the wait. If the weather had been nicer it would have been fun to walk through the gardens attached that grow much of the fresh vegetables used in the dishes. Huevos Rancheros over black bean cakes are a must!!

Amazing breakfast! Definitely worth the wait. The service was great! Highly recommend. We were trying to find somewhere to eat and stumbled upon this place. We will definitely be coming back for more. Their tangerine mimosa and salted caramel sweet roll were perfect.

Beautiful patio, with plenty of seating for just your self or a whole group. Exceptional wait staff that have a friendly attitude and are willing to help you. The mimosas are well balanced with just enough alcohol and a splash of flavor that will leave you craving more.
The food was phenomenal it was spicy and well balanced. Almost all the foods are well balanced with the food. Great place to just sit in the sun and eat Brunch.

Unique food, excellent pet friendly staff and surprise garden pet and kid garden in back. Parking is on street. Lots of outdoor seating including covered patio S an option. I ordered breakfast salad and all parts of it were delicious. My husband ordered cheese burger and loved it and the fries. Got a naked burger patty for the dog.
Catsup is organic which is important to me as a natural health professional.
I ordered the very Berry short cake which was warm and wonderful!
Service was quick, super friendly and a pleasure. They brought a dog bowl of water as soon as we sat down.

This place is phenomenal! I'm not local to Ashville but after discovering this place during my first visit I made a pilgrimage back just to eat here again. It's actually SO good that eating here will put you at risk of never finding brunch anywhere else as satisfying ever again.
If you don't want to wait in line get there between 8 and 9 after that there's a line but it's 100% worth it! The stuffed french toast is a personal favorite but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

Their system: menus are at the front by where you
make the line to order, you order food & drinks at a lil kiosk, they give you a number and they take your phone number to text you when a table is ready, drinks come out pretty quick and we waited about 35-40 mins for a table which I think wasn't bad for a Saturday noon. Everyone greets you with a smile. The food was GREAT, super tasty and instagrammable lol I had the breakfast sandwich, the bacon was so good and the fruit was sweet and fresh. My husband had the biscuits & gravy and really liked it too. We will absolutely be back.

Our original plan was to do a sunrise hike and then come here for breakfast. We probably would have gotten here when they opened. Then it was supposed to rain so we slept in and did a later hike meaning we didn't make it here until 10:30.

I'm not a fan of their current Covid-19 protocols. I'm all about being safe, but theirs just lead to a really bad experience. You have to order at the hostess stand and then they'll text you when a table is ready. This sounds fine except you have to wait an hour in line to order (standing the whole time of course).

If they just had everyone

The reviews speak for themselves. The atmosphere is open and friendly and the food is great. We had the avocado toast and the very berry french toast. On a previous trip we’ve enjoyed the chick waffle which was fantastic. I cannot say enough about the BACON! If you are a bacon lover GET SOME BACON. We also LOVE LOVE their blood marys. They are on the spicy side so be prepared.

WORTH. THE. WAIT. This was my FAVORITE breakfast from my 10-day road trip!

We arrived at 11am on a Tuesday and the wait was over an hour! I was too hungry to wait around, so instead, we came back at 9:30am the next day and waited for significantly less time.

When you arrive, you'll stand on line (we waited about 10 minutes) and order your food from the check-in area. You can get hot coffee while you wait (free refills!). There's plenty of places to sit/stand while you wait for a table assignment. We then waited about 15 minutes for our table, and then maybe another 10 minutes for

We were passing through Asheville and we were looking for some healthier fare and Yelp brought us to the artsy Falconhurst neighborhood. There are many restaurants in the area and we chose Sunny Pount Cafe, which grows many of the ingredients in their offerings. The choice we made turned out to be a good one, with a couple of outstanding dishes.

I ordered the Mushroom/Spinach Omelet and my wife had the Fried Chicken and Waffle sandwich. The omelet was cooked to a fluffy perfection with the taste of the fresh mushrooms and spinach coming through. The dish came with a biscuit that was out of this
