Chef Patrick Abernathy, formerly of Savoy and Red Stag Grill, and wife Emily Abernathy put their experience and passion behind their knives, bringing affordable, casual Latin inspired cuisine to the North side. With great, fresh food, local beer on tap, margaritas, counter service at lunch and table service at dinner, come on in for a quick lunch, to watch the game, or just relax.

Yes, we do local, yes we do seasonal, but mostly, we do inspired. Email Emily at Emily@Chupacabralatincafe.com or give us a call, we'd love to hear from you.

The food and service was excellent! We had the nachos and when they realized they forgot to leave off the jalapeños...they gave us extra without it. The kids had quesadillas and they were good too! The beans and rice was just amazing!

Service is horrible! A lot of cursing behind the counter making the food. The wait staff is rude and not helpful about the drinks or menu. The bartender didn’t know what Amaretto was. I called in a order to go one time and when I got home, the container was half full, there was basically only rice. I called and the girl said “please hold and slammed the phone down. I was literally on hold for 30 minutes and could hear everything going on in the restaurant. I hung up and called back only for no one to pick up. The food is great ,but if the service were better it would be an outstanding restaurant

This is fine food, not Tex-mex. Hand-made cocktails, not a slushy machine. And a host with the most.

My son and I found this place on accident and it was amazing. I ordered the shrimp with garlic and avocado and it was just amazing. My son ordered the fish and fries and he loved it. The prices are fairly reasonable. The atmosphere of the place is just great. Very inviting and friendly. I really like it and would recommend it.

Breakfast chorizo bowl. The food was delicious and well made. Homemade tortilla chips perfectly salted and crunchy. Get the trio and try their smoky BBQ salad, Verde and house salsa all are yummy and pack heat.

This is definitely in our Top 3 Latin restaurants in Asheville. Quality local ingredients, authentic recipes, large portions, all house-made sauces and chips, small bar, decent drink menu, moderately priced. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff are so nice here. We came here last year and the bartender still remembered my husbands name this time!! And the bartender made me a lavender lemonade which is not even on the Menu. The food is amazing too! I love the seafood here. The calamari taco is awesome and the mussels are my favorite. In a word, we will be back again and again ૮⍝◜•⚇•◝⍝ა
