Unlike ordinary primary care doctors, Hana Holistic provides additional alternative medical services to its San Francisco and Berkeley area patients combining Eastern and Western healthcare in a uniquely modern setting.
In addition to operating as a classic primary care office, Hana Holistic Medical Center will provide addition services in Berkeley and San Francisco, like Chinese acupuncture, chi gong, and meditation, which are not covered by Medicare or private medical insurance. These additional services will be available to our patients through our membership program.
Many health insurance policies and supplement insurance now cover medical acupuncture treatments for pain relief, though they vary greatly in terms of deductible and percentage of acupuncture treatments and what conditions might be covered. After verification of your insurance coverage, Hana Holistic Medical Center (HHMC) in the Berkeley and San Francisco area will bill your insurance provider for the medical acupuncture treatments you receive.
At Hana Holistic, our goal is to nurture and support your personal transformation to a healthy wellness-based lifestyle through tai chi, personal training, and yoga classes in the San Francisco and Berkeley area. I have been seeing Dr. Hana for years for acupuncture now, and he is fantastic. I always leave his office feeling refreshed. His acupuncture treatments help with my troubled sleep more than anything else I have found. Dr. Hana is very patient, listens to you, and provides treatment according to your needs.
In addition to this, his facility is beautiful, and his staff are always friendly and helpful. I recommend him to anyone looking for acupuncture.

Amazing, the BEST doctor ever!!! Dr Hana is so sweet and warm and really cares about his patients!! Their new office is so clean and nice!! I'v been also taking guided imagery classes they offer and it has been great. I feel calmer and more relaxed. It is very rare to see a doctor's office offering well being classes and I really admire his vision. Dr Hana would be the only primary doctor I would wanna see!
