She originally trained in China as an Acupuncturist and after coming to the United States she obtained her Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture license through the state of California. She began her professional journey as a wellness advocate in 1999. While in China she practiced as a TCM Assistant Physician.
Our experienced and trained therapists offer a variety of massage disciplines that will be drawn upon to create a custom session for you. Disciplines included, but not limited to are: Swedish, Esalen, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point, Cranial-Sacral, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Trager and more.
Each treatment is performed on a warm ergonomic massage table and includes a neck, shoulder, and hands massage. Please let your esthetician know if there is anything you need during your treatment. At Sundhari Spa we use high quality waxes that are safe and gentle enough for all skin types. Our waxes are hypoallergenic, contain natural waxes, resins and botanicals to soothe sensitive skin, and ensure the most comfortable wax experience. Before undertaking a waxing treatment, please inform our estheticians if you are currently using any peeling agents, RetinA, Accutane or certain medications and antibiotics.
First Appointment - This appointment gives each of us a moment to discuss your goals, and to see how Ayurveda can benefit you, answer your questions, discuss my approach and logistics moving forward. In this appointment we will discuss your health history and current goals, while mapping a plan to achieve those goals through a whole body/mind/spirit approach unique to your experience and body type.

Natalie is absolutely wonderful. The waxing she provided was top tier. She did my brows, legs and Brazilian and it was virtually painless. I wanted to see if she had time to do my arms, but I didn't want to infringe on her other clients. Her calming presences along with her skill set is head and shoulders above the rest.

I got a massage from Hans and it was the best massage I ever had.
He used his body to massage mine, on the ground, with clothes on.
Im a big guy 220lb and he was still able to get deep into my hamstring and leg mucles.
I felt relaxed for like 4 days after, the blood and fluids were moving better and I felt healthier.
I will definitely be getting another massage from him ASAP.

The acupuncturist here is Amazing! I recently got in a motorcycle accident and have been getting acupuncture at Sundhari for rehabilitation. The very first session Eve (the acupuncturist) had me up and walking after about a month of not putting any weight on my injury. I have had 5 sessions since and with every one I get closer to full strength. She really knows what she is doing! I highly recommend Sundhari for not only acupuncture but also their other services such as orthopedic massage, facials etc. Sundhari is an amazing wellness center!

I received my first orthopedic massage from Hans Dietz a few days ago and am a convert to this type of massage. Throughout the years I have always received what one might call spa massages, with a drape over unclothed body parts. For the orthopedic massage, I was advised to wear workout wear such as leggings and a t shirt as the session would involved me being fully clothed and not under a drape. I won{t go into how many medical issues I have but needless to say, I could clearly see over the course of the massage why it was beneficial for Hans to have freer access to the tight muscles that he was

The spa itself is lovely and clean. The receptionist is warm and inviting. My therapist Susan was experienced, knowledgeable, professional and kind. We discussed problem areas that I wanted addressed and she hit them all. I have already booked my next appointment and am so glad there is a place like this in Berkeley. Easy free parking is also great bonus!

This updates review is specifically for Susan Toch. I have been seeing her either weekly or every 10 days or so since I was 5 months pregnant... her technique is incredible. She has literally kept me in a state of being able to enjoy my pregnancy which has came with many aches and pains this round. She listens, and adjust as needed to make sure you're getting the massage you want and ensure you're comfortable. Definitely look to make an appointment with her for prenatal massage! Can't wait to visit her after baby comes as well.

Everyone from the lovely receptionist to the wonderful masseuse that worked on me (Catherine) was very welcoming, kind and accommodating.
Catherine did an amazing job, that woman truly has healing powers and is worth her weight in gold!! She gave me a therapeutic massage, I felt so rejuvenated and left the place glowing. I will 100% return for more and refer my friends and family there as well.

My first massage with Kathryn, OMG it was more than fabulous!!
I feel so much better. I would highly recommend her, my massage was deep tissue 1 1/2 hours. Sundhara is beautiful, it has a great atmosphere, the decor is peaceful and welcoming.

I went here for the first time a week ago, and was blown away by my amazing massage therapist Cynthia. She was thorough and attentive, and I felt so much better after our session. The staff was friendly, honest, and genuine. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this lovely spot. The space is also incredibly beautiful. Highly recommend.
