Metalcraft Racing was established in 2003 by Houston Hal, who has been in the motorcycle and automotive design and repair industry for over 25 years. Expanding the business in multiple directions, he has branched into offering custom designs, welding, fabrication, and unsurpassed levels of diagnostic problem solving capabilities.
Hal is also known for his personally designed, hand-crafted, and championship winning, Nitro Harley Dragster, which he himself pilots. We're having a great time customizing this 1991 Harley Davidson FXR to fit an S & S X-Wedge Engine. A solution was needed for our client to fit the engine, as the original FXR frame didn't give the engine enough room for installation.

Metalcraft Racing Custom Motorcycles offers a variety of custom welding options. We predominantly use heliarc, or the "TIG" welding method, but "MIG" and "ARC" welding procedures are available as well. Heliarc is a clean, strong, and effective welding procedure, which can be used to fabricate anything from stainless steel headers, to a cracked 70's Harley-Davidson engine case, or even a titanium dune buggy frame.
