The REHRC is a 501c3 non-profit sanctuary dedicated to rehabilitating horses with hoof, health and behavioral problems. Equines come to the Rainier Equine Hoof Recovery Center to be treated for hoof ailments such as chronic laminitis and abscesses. Horses find relief when their hooves start treatment using correct hoof trimming practices, as well as improvements in diet and environment.

Some of our horses came to us as serious starvation and neglect cases. After arriving, we begin rehabilitating them and some have been placed horses into foster care - or permanent adoption, always offering to continue hoof care at no charge. Today most of our horses are sanctuary horses. Older horses that are living out their remaining days with us.

It sure seemed like an unfortunate day when I found my wonderful mare limping around our pasture, but it turned out to be life changing. For nearly 15 years, I had been employed as a secretary for a city parks and recreation department. My desk was in a basement office with windows that looked out on a sloped wall of huge black rocks.
This DVD has been the answer to horse owners all over the world just like you. The DVD outlines the trimming methods and tools you'll need to conquer, on your own, most any hoof issue your horses have been living with for years. Even if you're not able to trim, or have no desire for the physical work, you will learn trimming strategies for healthy hooves and you will begin educating your eyes so you can see the form of a healthy, functional hoof.
These are great tools for the beginner trimmer who may not be ready to invest in costly professional grade tools. These tools are perfect for the home trimmer as well as the upcoming professional trimmers. They also make a nice extra pair to have in every professional's bucket! They are quality tools, yet affordable.
We are an official 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to aiding equines whose hooves have fallen into a state of disrepair for any reason. We work diligently to return them to a condition where they can move painfree. That process takes time, pain management drugs, and a proper diet. Your generosity, and volunteer efforts, have truly made a difference in the lives of our resident and recuperating horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.
