I haven’t been here recently but have been a guest twice in the past! How I’d describe it: It’s a massive log structure with rooms, all beautifully decorated and super clean. I am very picky about my linens and love that they used all white sheets :) breakfast that is included is simple but it’s exactly what you’d want for a mini nature retreat! It’s close to the state park, so beautiful for going on hiking trails / exploring.

I am disappointed at the way the Minnewaska Lodge has let their employee Erik Philips treat the cliffs of the Shawangunk Range that they own. The practices he is employing on the Lodge property are counter culture to the standards of conservation and land stewardship that the rest of the greater Shawangunk ridge (Minnewaska state park, Mohonk Preserve and Mohonk Mountain house) holds to the highest standard. It has made me re-think their position as an entity that values the "tranquil beauty" of the land around them.

Really nice place- you can take a complimentary yoga class a mile down the road at the Stone Hill studio- it was a great class and a beautiful setting!! The fire pits at night are really nice touch and the views are woodsy and so peaceful. Rooms are clean and comfortable… staff very nice- we will be back!

Before I begin my review of the property, I would like to give a special shout-out to the General Manager Jamie, and staff members Carlos and Roxie who made our stay so special. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and made our recent stay so memorable.
In terms of the property, the room was immaculate and the common area was extremely clean and well kept. The hiking trail behind the property is great, and if you’re looking for a challenging hike, take the red trail to the Boulder climb. The continental breakfast had a nice variety of foods to choose from such as bagels, yogurt, granola

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary for 1 night in August 2021 and it was amazing. I wish we stayed for a few days. Staff is so friendly, and they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Really I wish we stayed longer!
We had a yoga session with Erik and he was terrific! So peaceful, so relaxing and his energy inspired and energized us for the full day of adventure in Minnewaska Reserve. He gave lots of great tips where to go. Erik, you are awesome! I highly recommended scheduling a session with him, it will make your day.
The location is perfect. Close to hikes and good

The building and lobby look great, and the mountain backdrop is incredible, but the room fell woefully short of the description and price tag.
The lodge has its own set of trails in back, which is an incredible feature. The dining room, deck, and lawn with fire pits were great and popular places. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving great trips on local attractions. The included breakfast was ok, consisting of local bagels and muffins, which ran out every morning and were not replenished past 9:00. I can chalk that up to COVID since they normally serve a hot breakfast.

We checked in at around 1AM but there was a receptionist who gave us our room card. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony outside which is a nice touch. The bathroom was very clean and was stocked with shampoo and soap. They also offer breakfast that you can eat out on the patio which was great! The wifi is also blazing fast, highly recommend visiting!

Can’t beat the backyard view!!! The staff was welcoming and accommodating. At check in we were provided detailed info about hikes/activities in the area, restaurants, and other area information. It’s conveniently located near Minnewaska State Park as well as Monhonk Preserve. I would go back in a heartbeat!

It’s pretty much perfect if you’re looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway.
Beautiful inside and out.
You pull in and one of the first things you see small rock piles balanced straight up. Beautiful facade at the base of a mountain wall. Small lobby and common area with doors leading to the back yard with tables topped with citronella candles, fire pits with chairs, yoga space, ladder ball, and direct access to hiking trails. Complimentary Hot coffee 24/7, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and muffins in the morning.
Rooms are nice enough and all that you need. Could use a little maintenance as far

Firstly the guy at the front desk (George) was amazing we had an issue with our bank declining our room and he remained patient and helpful running the card like 100 times until the bank finally authorized the transaction. He also gave great reviews on the local fare. The property is very nice with a few fire pits and some trails on property. It has an authentic log cabin, granola vibe, simple, friendly, beautiful, a window into nature at its finest. This is a great place to stay if you want a relaxing trip, good coffee, close proximity to New Paltz, and want to enjoy all that Shawangunks has to

The location of this cute little lodge is perfect for all the area has to offer. The property is nice and they make good use of the backyard area which faces the Shawangunk mountain range with Adirondack chairs and fire pits. We also discovered some fun trails that you can access from the back of the property. They have a cozy common area with sofas and a wood burning stove, and it all fits in with the areas rustic upstate vibe...which is to be expected. That's sort of where it ended for me though. The room was advertised as a "cliff view with deck." The back of the building does

During our time here over the thanksgiving week to hike and climb, the manager made sure to invite us to the thanksgiving dinner that he had made rather than us eating our boxed dinner from Shoprite. The conversation was great, the staff always greeted us in the morning while heading out to climb and welcomed us when we came back in. While it was only 30 degrees during our stay the hotel was always warm and inviting, no ice on the steps or deck as the staff cleared it and sitting by the fireplace each night, the manager would always check in with us. I travel for a living and this was by far one

I was originally supposed to check in on November 15th but we got hit with a snowstorm that ended up being worse than everyone expected. We were coming from 2 hours away and we attempted the drive but it was too dangerous so we turned around. Long story short, we missed our first night's stay. We left as soon as we could the next day. Upon our arrival we were greeted at the door by Rebecca, I believe, who asked if she could help us? I said we were checking in and she said well just so you know check in isn't until 3pm, we were there by noon. I told her we were already checked in because

The lodge is has amazing scenery that you view as you pull into parking lot with mountains just past the rear of lot. The lodge itself offers breakfast and a nice place to meet and chit chat with fellow visitors each morning. The rooms are spacious and clean. Great place for a romantic getaway or just a quiet time vacation. We brought our 3 boys and they had a great time as well. Every night thy light up 2 gas fire pits and even offer s'mores.
The state park is about 3 miles away with swimming and numerous trails of different difficulties. There's also an amazing waterfall there.

Each year or so takes its toll on this once chic inn. In definite need of refurbishment. Shabby carpeting, tired fixtures in rooms and clogged shower heads to name some. Room rates far exceed the value you receive.
Breakfast quality has also declined. Where fresh apple strudel was once baked in the quality kitchen, packaged muffins and croissants from a grocery store shelf now appear on the buffet table. Sadly, even the apples had grocery store stickers when, a mile or so down the road, local orchards sell fresh apples.
Great location adjacent to Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park

Let's start by saying we paid nearly $600 for 2 nights. We booked at a rate of $242 per night and when we checked in we were told the first nights rate was now $329. I gave the place 2 stars because some of the staff was very pleasant, the others not so pleasant. LIKE THE HOUSEKEEPER which banged on our door like the FBI the day we checked out. The first night we were asked to lower our TV which was not loud. THE YANKEE GAME WAS ON.
