Smiles Forever of Gardendale specializes in beautifying smiles, maintaining your dental health, and helping you improve your appearance. This practice was established by Dr. Barakat. We believe in treating everyone like family! We want everyone to truly enjoy their experience when coming to their dental visits.
Our office is open Monday through Thursday, with hours that can accommodate most any schedule. We know that your time is important, and we work to ensure that your visit happens as professionally and quickly as possible. Dental emergencies are never convenient or timely. At Smiles Forever of Gardendale, we are committed to our patients' dental health no matter what time of the day or night it is.
Dr. Barakat has been in the dental field since 2009. She worked as an expanded duty dental assistant before becoming a dentist. Dr. Barakat received her certificate in molecular science and Bachelor of Science from the University of West Florida, where she graduated as an Honors Scholar. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University.
At Smiles Forever of Gardendale, we provide every patient with a Comprehensive Oral Evaluation. This starts with the necessary X-Rays to properly detect decay, bone loss, tumors, cavities, cysts, and numerous other dental situations. Our office is equipped with the highest quality digital x-ray equipment as well as high quality intraoral cameras and digital Carivu (a non x-ray alternative to detecting cavities).
This can be anything done to correct imperfections in the appearance of the smile. Anyone who is unhappy with their smile can have it fixed. The upper teeth show, usually, only when smiling, while the lower teeth remain hidden. This is reversed when talking, with the upper teeth remaining hidden while the lower teeth show.

The entire team is beautiful and humble. Kind and knowledgeable!!!! To say the least. They listen to what you want and aren’t too pushy to make a sale more so give a coupon to help a girl feel her best ! I will hands down go to them again and again !!! Dr barakat is a product of her line and she’s stunning just FYI. Idk why she isn’t the face of her own marketing . Anyways. Thanks they changed my confidence and absolutely turned my entire day around .

Worst experience ever. I was told I had nine cavities, and I needed them filled when in fact I did not. I had came in and got some of them filled and a few hours after I got home and the numbness wore off I ate lunch and as soon as I bit into my food I just had a shock of pain shoot through my body because of the tooth she worked on. I thought well maybe it’s just still sore, so I gave it a while. After that I had waited a week and had to go back and get it fixed because I couldn’t eat on my right side at all, so I went in tried to let her fix it and got home hoping what she did had worked

I had a great experiencne! From the check-in at the front to the room where they got all the information to make dentures. I had put off getting any dentures forever and with my daughter's wedding coming up I knew I wanted them by that time. Dr Barakat did not disappoint me. They turned out great so a big thanks to her and her staff.

I had to have my wisdom teeth taken out, so I called around to different places to check pricing. These people were very nice on the phone and went over their procedures, and price ranges (very reasonable.) While I was there, they were very nice to me, offering me water, offering to change the channel on the T.V. if I wanted. Anything to make me comfortable. The atmosphere was very calming and clean. The staff was very friendly. Very nice place.

I've had sensitive teeth from another dentist for years. They couldn't fix it, I decided to try something different. It was the best thing I ever did. Smiles Forever of Gardendale fixed the sensitivity of my teeth. It has been years since I could eat cold or hot food. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The dentist listened to my concerns with compassion. Dr Barakat went that extra mile to make me as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I would recommend this dentist office to everyone.
