Floating, also called floatation therapy, is a practice that involves an enclosed room or pod filled with a foot of water and 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. Rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul to be in complete harmony, so that you can be your best self each and every day.
Reset your nervous system in a way that lets you move through distraction and into profound stillness. Deep relaxation allows your body to decrease stress hormones and enhance your resistance to disease. Release tension and pain patterns as your muscles relax completely with the combination of buoyancy and the high levels of magnesium in the water.

Services
Our mission is to elevate, and bring lasting change, to the consciousness and wellness of our community. Flote is a place of sanctuary and wellness-a soul gym where people train not only their bodies, but their spirits. Flote came into the physical world as an answer to owners Catherine and Margaux's biggest conundrums-how do we facilitate healing on a larger scale?.
Since ancient times, healing touch has been used in all cultures. Civilizations in the East and West found that massage could heal injuries, relieve pain, reduce stress and promote a deep sense of relaxation. Our experienced massage therapists are well trained in many different styles of massage therapy including relaxation, sports, prenatal, hot stone, aromatherapy, deep tissue, and cupping massage.
Floating, also called floatation or float therapy, is a practice that involves an enclosed room or pod filled with a foot of water and 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. The high salt content allows you to be completely buoyant as you lie in the water, and creates an experience of deep relaxation. Sometimes referred to as sensory deprivation, the practice more accurately involves minimizing external stimuli and enhancing awareness of internal stimuli.
At Flote Hampton, we offer a wide range of classes to help you relax, strengthen and activate energy in your life, using yoga, meditation and more. We designed these to complement your own practice of self care and awareness. All classes are booked through Soulfire Power Yoga - Mind Body App or through our Website.
We believe that regular floating can change lives. We see it all the time in our regular floaters. As a way to make the practice of floating affordable and to help people follow through with their commitment to care for themselves, we offer a Flote Club Membership. Floating is a practice that has a learning curve and an accumulation effect-the more often you do it, the better and more effective it gets, especially in the beginning!

My first float was amazing, at about 5 months pregnant. I was pretty nervous - the idea of closing myself into a tank with water was slightly unnerving but the staff were so understanding (they must hear it a lot from first-timers!) and provided me with all the comfort I needed.
I had a massage before going into the tank (highly recommend) so I was already pretty relaxed. Then I got into the tank and messed with the lights, the sound until I found my zen-zone. Once there, I remember thinking to myself "wow, this is so relaxing I totally get why people do this." and then all of a sudden it was

On vacation at a place with a spa, but not impressed with it, I decided to see if I could find a local spa that would be a good fit. I looked at a couple, read reviews and choose Flote and a therapist that could accommodate my schedule. I lucked out…Alliyie was fantastic! I walked it all knotted up from a 10+ days of driving and walking and “floated” out, minus the stress, tight neck, back and legs…plus stretches that would help and info on a specific type of chiropractic to research. Couldn’t be happier with my decision to pass on the overpriced hotel services and “shop local”.

The idea of this place is good, but it's very often difficult to get an appointment and the appointments are inconsistent depending upon who is working. They are closed on Mondays which is really inconvenient. The website is difficult and frustrating to try and make appointments and most times no one answers the phone.

Absolutely love this place. It feels like a very up-scale spa and has many amenities - which is amazing. The float sessions are all unique and are beneficial in so many ways. I especially love that there are 3 kinds of float tank options! I have also started getting massages and the massage team is really incredible - have only had outstanding sessions and great pricing. We are truly lucky to have Flote in our Seacoast community.

This place truly has it all in regards to your self-care needs. Floating allows me to meditate and take my mind off of any stress that my work or home life creates. It’s a completely new experience that is unlike anything I’ve ever had. The best part about floating is that you can make it as intense or not intense as you want, it’s very customizable. You can turn the lights on or off, the music on or off, and you can make it as short as you like.
I am also a member of the massage club here. It is a great deal that gives me one massage a month plus a free sauna session. While the benefits

I absolutely love these facilities. The floating is something I never thought I’d enjoy, but I ended up loving it and have been going as often as possible and even became a member. The staff are the nicest group of people, especially Tricia, Yaz, and Jackie. They have all been excellent, accommodating, super nice and informative. It’s a nice easygoing down to earth environment and you can tell the staff like their jobs. Both the Portsmouth and Hampton locations are super clean and easy to get to. There are really not enough positive things to say about this place and it’s workers.
