Services
Dr. Chris Olson was born and raised in Lincoln, NE where he graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He then continued his education at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia where he graduated with honors.
His externship rotations consisted of training in ocular disease, binocular vision, and low vision in Omaha, NE; contact lens and laser vision correction in La Jolla, CA; low vision and vision rehabilitation in Philadelphia, PA; hospital based optometry in Bethel, AK with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation serving a 75,000 square mile region of western Alaska; and ocular disease in Hallandale, FL.

Samantha joined the Olson Eye Care team in 2016 as Dr. Olson's technician. She then learned the ins and outs of optical while attending classes at UNO to obtain her bachelor's degree and is now an Optician for the office. She has also completed medical billing courses and became the office's billing specialist.
The second part of the exam is the refractive error portion where Dr. Olson will use a combination of methods to determine the best prescription for your glasses and/or contacts. The third part is the evaluation of your eye health. This is one of the most important aspects of a thorough routine exam.
Inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva, a thin clear protective membrane that covers the surface of the eye and eyelids. Can be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergens and other irritants such as dust and smoke. Pink eye is very contagious when caused by viruses and bacteria. Common signs and symptoms are red eyes, increased tearing, mucus discharge and blurred vision.

Everyone at Olson Eyecare was very pleasant to talk with and so polite. Dr Olson took extra steps to help my son with his eye appointment since he could not read the letters well and had a hard time keeping eyes open. Dr Olson had a lot of patience with my son who has Down Syndrome. I am very pleased with Olson Eyecare.

Wonderful people who actually take the time to help you. Dr. Olson was wonderful and took the time to explain everything. The service reminded me of what one would receive from a small town business! A+ standards in my opinion! Dr. Olson was very comforting, compassionate and basically walked me through every moment of his treatment! I have been other places that do not even compare to the excellent care I have received! My husband told me to go there, and he was so right! THANK YOU OLSEN EYE CARE FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF US!!!!
