VALCORE Recycling is a Non-profit recycling center that accepts bottles/cans (Buyback) and donations (Other Recyclables). Due to circumstances beyond our control, our buyback/donations program will be CLOSED on Saturdays until further notice. Our monthly Saturday Paper Shredding program is still available, though!

ALL donations and MON-FRI Paper Shredding: At this time, cardboard, paper, dry clothes (in plastic bags), books and paper shredding will be preferred between 9AM-10AM, but are available daily from 9AM-1PM and 2PM-4PM. Out of consideration for those waiting to get in, please bring in your materials fully sorted with caps off.

About Us Report

VALCORE Recycling is a coalition of nonprofit organizations working together to provide recycling services to our community while providing a fundraising opportunity for local nonprofits. We are a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. VALCORE is the acronym for Vallejo Community Organizations Recycling, Inc.

Community Report

Besides being a buyback and donation center, VALCORE is very involved in Vallejo and the surrounding community. We have Member Groups who volunteer on-site and at events. We also provide staffing for select events in the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, VALCORE provides job training, an opportunity to do court ordered community service and volunteer opportunities.

Join Us Report

Member Groups are nonprofit organizations that participate in the management of VALCORE. A representative of each organization serves on our Board of Directors. Their members work at VALCORE on a rotating basis. In exchange for work, member groups share in the profits from the sale of recyclable materials.

Recycling Report

VALCORE only takes California Redemption Value (CRV) labeled beverage containers for Buyback. Donations of other items, such as books, batteries, ink and toner cartridges and clothing/textiles are also accepted. Please note that we close exactly at 1:00PM (for lunch) and 4:30PM (closing). Please arrive early enough so that you may finish sorting by those respective closing times; we close gates to incoming customers 10mins before closing as well.

Recycling Procedure Report

Upon entering our facility by car, please pull as far forward as possible to allow others to enter the yard. There are two lanes. Please note that during your visit, you may be asked to pull your car forward to help with traffic flow. Please separate between CRV and non-CRV as well. Please remove any caps or lids, but they may be included with the bottles to be weighed.

Very organized just busy so if on a time limit make sure to check how busy they are or give yourself some extra time just in case.usually in n out tho only once I was stuck waiting.they answer there phone too.

Very well organized. Staffed to efficiently move customers through process expeditiously. Assistance provided as necessary. Questions answered by well trained staff. No one is pressuring you to move faster than you do but very willing to assist. All in all the best experience at any recycling center! Will be nice when they resume Saturday hours post pandemic.

I went to Valcore for the first time this past week and was amazed at the customer service! Upon arriving I was instructed on the process and what to do from A-Z, which I appreciated because i have been to some recycling centers that have no organization and very limited ppl working and thus the process can be confusing. Valcore had several workers helping multiple customers at once and was very organized!! Let me also add that all the guys were friendly!

All the guys are very helpful respectful and friendly.
I have been there 4 times and it is always a good experience.
The guys are fast and always call me MAM. I never considered my a MAM but that's ok it's all about being polite.

These guys and gals are GREAT! Very friendly and very organized. I have taken 3-4 loads of cardboard for recycling and each time has been a pleasure. Easy in and out service with great direction from the employees. Thank you for your service and keep up the great work!!

I am amazed by this recycling center. It is efficient. The people there are friendly, helpful, professional and a pleasure to work with. I was amazed by the way this recycling center is operated. Do not hesitate to bring our recyclable materials here. They are amazing.

What I love most about this place is all the employees were super friendly and helpful, The gentleman informed us of the various policies before we entered the center in case we needed a turn around, luckily we didn't. They have a 100lb. limit on glass and aluminum combined, and if it's over that amount they won't give you a refund at all. Luckily we had about 65 pounds in the back of a pick up truck. Another thing to note is that they pay you in a check form, not cash.

Everytime i go here everything is excellent. Their staffs were excellent and not rude. I was able to go there with no any problema at all. At first i was hesitant to go here because i was hoping i might get dissapointed. Iwas wrong because this place was great and from now on i will be selling my recycles here.

This is by far the most organized most friendly staff In Ye bay area!
Considering the nature of this business it's very shocking how these employees are so polite and courteous !
It's make me whole spirit happy!
The CA customer related business should emulate this kind of behavior!

SFO.
I have been around hunting recycle places from hayward and the nearby areas to Suisun, rio vista VV ,
SFO this is the best
recycle place I have been!

Customer service is amazing-they do a great job helping me remove my bags, getting them to the scale, answer my questions. they are professional, courteous, prompt.

Thank you SO MUCH to the gentleman that helped me just now an older Filipino Lad! I had two baskets of clothes that I needed to donate and he so generously offered to re-bag them and and put them in the donation bin for me! He even offered to help me back out of the facility!

Customer service is amazing! I'm a youngish female and hate recycling because it's normally so dirty and takes forever. I've been here twice and the gentleman help as much as they can to ensure I'm getting the most out of my items. They help carry things if needed and once done they help to clear the crowd so I could get out easily. I'll keep returning while the service is top notch.
