Vision Recycling began as Del Conte's Landscaping, a well-known Bay Area landscaping business founded by Tom Del Conte in 1972. Mr. Del Conte's knowledge of the landscaping industry led him into the green waste and recycling arena in 1993. At this time, he acquired equipment to convert green waste into organic, locally sourced soil mixes.
Public Speaking engagements for recycled organics, Irrigation water conservation, and Green Business concepts. Tom has consulted with the Alameda County Stop Waste agency for Green Business program development. Tom is fanatical about organizational and procedural details and training programs. As the leader of the organization this has stability implications as evidenced by the over 40+ years of business success.
We provide on site service contract work with public works agencies, municipalities, schools & farms. We provide our staff, material processing & keep up with all local laws and regulations to help your business run smoothly. We pride our organization with checklists and safety training on a regular basis.
We do not accept rock, dirt, metals, concrete, glass, plastic, paper, hazardous materials, telephone poles, painted or treated wood, plywood, particle board, MDF, or other contaminants. Loads with contamination levels over 1% will be subject to a $100 per yard contamination fee. The yardage of contamination will be rounded up to the nearest 1 yard increment.
At Vision Recycling we strive to make the highest quality products from 100% recycled material. In fact Apple sought out our product after months of testing the quality of our product and has our compost on their campus. We provide soil amendment, planting soil, compost and a variety of mulches, and wood chips.

Great place with great product. I got the planter mix for some raised garden beds. Was just what I was looking for instead of the bags at the big box stores. Best decision I made because I had a bumper crop of peppers, the celery is going like gang busters and the green beans are great too. The price was a lot cheaper than than the 20 bags of garden soul I purchased and it was a yards worth. Also, the bark is a great price too, something like 32 dollars per yard. They don’t have a huge variety but this is now my first stop. Only open Monday thru Friday.
