I pulled in with a small truck, with lots of copper and aluminum in the truck bed, which were in containers. One of the workers wanted me to pull into a very deep muddy parking spot, on the OUTSIDE of the recycling plant. I could see shards of garbage sticking through the mud. When I told the worker that I am not going to park in that spot because of the possibility of getting stuck, and the possibility of puncturing my tire or my foot, he told me, "What do you expect, this is a junkyard". He then told me to leave. This is the most dangerous recycling plant I have ever been to. I am surprised that

I’ve been coming to the Steel Mill for several years. I’ve always found them to be fair, accurate and treat everyone with respect. They take all different types of metal; iron, stainless steel, aluminum and copper etc. The guys in the yard are always right there to help unload any heavy items off my truck. The prices paid are fair and consistent. I’ve been to all the other scrap yards around the bay area and the Steel Mill continues to be my favorite.
