In 1981, eye surgeon Lawrence Katzen, M.D., founded the Katzen Eye Care & Laser Center with a commitment to provide patients in Palm Beach County with the finest quality eye care available. Since that time, more than 50,000 LASIK and cataract surgery and general ophthalmology patients have had their vision surgically improved at the center.

With our annual eye exams and complimentary LASIK consultations, examine your vision capabilities and recommend necessary steps toward improving eye health and durability. As we age, the natural Lens of our eye becomes cloudy, which prevents the light rays from focusing clearly on the back of the eye. When the natural lens becomes less transparent or cloudy, it is referred to as a cataract. Images are no longer clear and sharp. This visual loss can be mild or quite severe.

Horrible experience. Dr. Was pleasant and thorough but busted a blood vessel in my left eye. And the prescription for the antibiotic for my infection was never called out. I’m still trying to locate my Rx the day after my visit!!! Communication is weak and best and they basically act as if they don’t care. They dont present well as a medical facility.

Katzen Eye Center was a wonderful experience.
Dr Luchs was excellent. He was prompt, courteous, and answered all my questions.
The staff was always friendly and professional.
The Surgical Coordinator George is a true gem. He was patient and kind and addressed all of my concerns. He explained in detail what to expect from my procedures. Meridith the Surgical Tech was so nice and professional. Dr. Hargreaves OD was very good post operatively.
As a healthcare professional myself (Surgical RN) I recognize the importance of a great team that are medically skilled and who are also true Patient Advocates

Let's start by saying my doctor recommended I come here. I made my appointment a whole month ago, and they never called me to remind me of my appointment, i had to call them and the person seemed annoyed that I called about my appointment. Two, I was there on time only for me to spend the whole time in the waiting. No one bothers to say, “Hey, we're running behind, so your appointment may take longer, but a full hour and a half.” I didn’t even want to come to this location. I won’t have been as annoyed 😒 if I was in the west palm beach location. My house is a two min drive from the west

I'll start from the beginning; my appointment started on schedule with a polite receptionist; I had to fill in a couple of questions which didn't take long. Katzen is modernized with all the latest computer applications and can access with any device. These features will avoid waiting on the phone. The eye technician was very cordial, intelligent, and a delight (her name is Trinidad) and did a commendable eye examination before Dr. Coieza examed me. The doctor explained everything similar to my last visit.

Started at Katzen back in 1999 for lasik surgery. They came highly recommended by my current eye doctor. Was lucky to have Dr Katzen perform the procedure. No issues with my eyes until recently. Needed cataract surgery and figured Katzen was my best option. My surgery was performed by Dr. Luchs. So far so good. Everyone at the center is terrific. Would highly recommend.

I had eye surgery at this clinic many years ago. My surgery was successful and for many years I returned for a yearly examination. At that time I had medical insurance. At this time I do not. I was told that this clinic is now under new ownership. It sounds like it has been taken over by a money grubbing bunch of scam artists to me. I asked them what the price was for the examination without insurance. All they would tell me is that it was $194.00 to walk in the door. Then once they decide how much they want to jack up the bill after the examination they will tell me the cost.
