Dr. Shuhatovich was born in Russia, however considers himself a Texan. He is a board certified, fellowship trained hand surgeon, who specializes in surgical and conservative treatment of conditions afflicting the hand, wrist and elbow. He firmly believes that the unique, immediate and multidisciplinary approach to treatment at ROC is the most effective way to manage any complex hand or wrist problem.

The hand is an amazing work of anatomic construction. The complex nature of the hand and wrist allow for both strength and fine manipulation, making our hands useful for work and play. Together, there are 29 bones, 29 joints, 123 ligaments and 34 muscles in the hand, making this part of our body delicate and prone to injury and pain.

I would recommend Dr. Shuhatovich to ANY person in need of ligament repair! I went to him after severing nearly every tendon in the back of my hand. I was not on his surgery schedule but he assured me that he would perform the surgery the day I came in. And it happened!! He repaired my hand to fully functioning health and after only 3 months, I have full dexterity to type this whole review with both hands. Without the ELITE knowledge, skills, and service of Dr. Shuhatovich, his team of nurses, and PTs, I would only have the use of one hand!

Had hand surgery in September of 2021 with Dr. Levaro which everything went really smooth, and on my first consultation Dr. Levaro explained all the process in detail and what could happen if I didn’t get the surgery done. Medical assistant Nancy is great with getting my stiches removed, getting me scheduled for my post ops, getting my orders ready for therapy and getting me schedule as well.

I broke my wrist about 2 and a half months ago playing soccer and came in to see Dr. Shuhatovich. It was my first time breaking anything and I was very worried about the situation. Luckily the doctor was very helpful and hopeful with everything. It was definitely the best and hopefully only experience I will have breaking a bone. Thank you Dr. Shuhatovich!
