My mother had a very productive and pleasant stay for her rehab after she broke her hip and had surgery. She said the staff was professional and had excellent bedside manner. Highly recommend this facility!

After my mom suffered from a stroke in May, I needed to find a in-patient facility because she required rehab that because of Covid couldn't be done in-home.
From the beginning I found it strange that the financial manager would be asking me questions about if she owned her home. I didn't understand how that was related to the therapy that Medicare pays for.
I began trying to figure out how I could bring her home since the few calls I received regarding therapy were actually calls either to tell me that they were going to discontinue therapy or...to let me know that I would be charged because

My mother had a very good experience recovering from hip surgery at Carriage Hill. We had gone to a different post-op rehab center in Chevy Chase and had a terrible experience in a very uncomfortable and outdated facility before we got to Carriage Hill. My mom thought the physical therapy was great and she loved the nurses. Chris, in admissions, was very easy and responsive to work with.

Worst place ever. It is a facility that uses medicare to fund the salaries of their administrative staff with no concern for the welfare of the patient. If you are looking for rehabilitation this is not the place to send anyone. If you are looking for a place to put someone who is ready to die, but do not care how their last days are or how they are treated, it is perfect.
We had to confiscate him because they will not let you remove anyone unless the in-house doctor who never sees the patient gives the ok. Our surgeon gave the ok to discharge and they said that was insufficient! Seriously unbelievably

At first I thought this was a good place for my husband to have rehab but over the course of several weeks I saw that the care here is lax and unprofessional. The nurses were always bothered by any questions we had. The night staff just ignored my husband. He became ill there because of their lack of care and we got him out as soon as we could. Do not take anyone there unless they are nearly dead. Awful place

The facilities here at Carriage Hill are some of the nicest in the area. It is one of the few that fosters a true community feel for its residents. I would feel comfortable putting my family here and you should too.

The staff is wonderful and caring. They were attentive to my questions and concerns. They made me feel at ease with my decision for my family. Carriage Hill is definitely the right choice.

Did a decent job caring giving me rehab services ((physical and occupational therapy) for my crushed shoulder, after nearly two weeks in the hospital for emergency surgery. And the staff were pleasant. But I am a diabetic who takes two types of insulin—short-acting and long-acting, and though they regularly gave me antibiotics, they otherwise did a poor job of caring for my diabetes — so much so that the surgeon had to postpone my surgery until my blood sugar came down. This despite the fact that they took frequent measurements of my blood sugar levels and had total control over my diet (both

My uncle is dying by choice in The Carriage Hill Nursing Home and Hospice. He wants to die naturally. He has a colostomy and the staff does not know how to change the bag. He lies in his feces until some aide comes to change the bag incompetently. I am there once or twice daily and this happens at least once a day. The head Nurse tells me everyone there knows how to change the bag. He is in danger of serious infection. Last night his bag was changed and leaked three times. He wound up with his feet on the floor and he is unable to walk and his bones are brittle. Carriage Hill will kill him before
