When choosing our exclusive spot for your lodging accommodations you will soon realize our cottages and suites are an upscale-casual choice to experience cottage living and life by the sea. We are an all waterfront property spread over 5 acres with 600 ft. of shorefront. All cottages and suites are fitted with *kitchens, king or queen beds, luxury linens, seating area, and waterfront porches- except those too close to the water to have one!
Edgewater Motel & Cottages being only 5 miles from downtown Bar Harbor is just enough to make us conveniently accessible to all points of Mount Desert Island. You will find our area has a charm like no other and an activity for everyone. Acadia National Park, only 2.5 miles from the Edgewater puts many outdoor activities at your fingertips.

Our first vacation to Maine was an excellent decision. We stayed at Edgewater Motel Cottages & Suites..The owners and their staff were EXTRAORDINARY. They were the friendliest and coolest people ever! The accommodations were VERY clean and the grounds were very well maintained. We will definitely return and I recommend staying here for anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Very clean cottage that had just about all you needed for kitchen utensils and for bbq`g on the outdoor grills on premises. The owners were very nice and informative when asked questions. Plenty of space inside the cottage - couch, chairs, end tables, ceiling fans, and a full tub bathroom. The view of the bay was a great bonus to have and I will need to bring my kayak the next time, as we will certainly return again for another visit.

Tranquil location, close to Acadia and a short ride to Bar Harbor. We stayed in the Edgewater Suite which was super clean and had great space for a family of four. Our two teenage sons appreciated having big beds and a quiet room to get their rest. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to experience Bar Harbor but have a relaxing accommodation compared to those offered downtown.

This place is special and spectacular. The host are really nice folks who look to make your stay extraordinary. Each cottage unit is either on the water or within a stones throw. Beautiful Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are so close and convenient for spur of the moment jaunts or a day's worth of activities or adventure. Ellsworth is only, less than 30 minutes away and has most all major stores.
