My mom was a resident at Oakland from September 10, 2014 until her passing on January 9, 2022. I want to commend you and your staff on the great care she received while a resident. The compassion she received from the entire staff was above and beyond. I believe she made it to almost 102 was because of your facility. I could have never given her the care your facility did, especially the past two years.
I want to acknowledge three people who always went out of their way to help me with my mom. They are Coco, Lisa & Frankie.
Thank you on behalf of my daughter and myself for making my mom’s stay

Awful just awful ! They are not attentive whatsoever. They will not answer the call bell. My father who had a stroke fell because he needed help going to bathroom and call bell wasn’t answered . 45 min later he attempted to go by himself . He fell and later we found out that the nurse never reported the incident and she never filled an incident report . When we addressed this with the manager she stated that the nurse denied a fall. Disgraceful !!!! I don’t feel therapy was aggressive enough and when he was discharged their was no recommendations for his discharge. . For instance , “ we recommend

We needed a long term nursing home for our Mom and did research on the available choices in the area. She had moderate dementia..primarily with short term memory. I don't believe any of them are great but we settled on Oakland. It turned out to be a very bad decision.
Our intention was to be totally hands on as a family as far as visits and being constantly in touch with stuff as much as possible to help ensure Mom was getting the best care. We would bring food and treats in for the staff to show appreciation for what we were asking them to do.
Meetings with the senior staff seemed to go well

Just an amazing facility overall! for those who have never been to a rehab facility, I have had family in and out of nursing homes for the last 3 years. you can tell the difference here. the two other nursing homes my aunt has been too in the last year have also been recovering the COVID-19 pandemic and yes they all have issues, however Oakland was just two steps ahead. Shout out to Marlon and Activity's group @ Oakland!

Although this facility looks clean, the staff is neither kind nor competent. They seemed annoyed to have to take care of their patients. They left my family member with a full, almost bursting urine bag, left them laying in their own throw up (they just covered the wet bedding and pajamas with a towel) and were late administering critical pain medication. We were so surprised and disappointed. Within 36 hours, we had our family member removed from this facility. We definitely would not recommend it.

My mother stayed here for rehab and physical therapy to treat a lumbar fracture. The team at Oakland is top notch, a multidisciplinary group of caregivers and health professionals who were kind and attentive to my mother’s needs. They have plenty of activities for the residents and patients to make their stay, whether short or long term, as pleasant as possible.

This place is horrible! DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY THERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM!
My 85 year old grandfather was supposed to go there for rehab PT and OT. He was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia/B12 Deficiency. I was not allowed to visit due to 2 Covid cases in their place. I would call and Maria was yelling at my Grandfather to hurry up get the phone now, repeating get up, get up while he was saying I can't grab it. She kept belittling him and it was disgusting. They told me he could not walk stair and is in a wheelchair. My grandfather called me and said they just leave him and others in a wheel
