Diagnostics are absolutely essential to find out what is going on inside. Pet owners are often blind to the pain and discomfort their pet is experiencing simply because their pet cannot verbalize what is hurting. We are dedicated to educating pet owners on signs of pain to encourage preventative care.

I couldn't be more impressed with Dr Miller and the staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital.
Our bearded dragon had a prolapse and was in very bad shape, yet no other vet would see us since they stated that they were completely booked.
When I called Lakewood, the receptionist was very kind and although the clinic was extremely busy after the New Year's holiday weekend, didn't shrug us off but instead agreed to let us come in.

Just moved here from out of state and had an issue with one of our dogs that I had hoped could be looked at today. Started calling around to local vets and was turned away time and time again. Understandably, it's hard to get an appointment on a Saturday morning and never having used that vet before.
They had a cancelation and told me they would be able to see us. Took down some information over the phone and gave me the appointment time.
I made my way over there and arrived shortly before the appointment time. There's multiple signs in the parking lot with spot numbers and a telephone number

We were always pleased with the care that our cat received from Dr. Miller. However, after we had to put her down due to cancer, we had 6 doses of Revolution Plus that were unused and unopened that cost us $100.
We were very disappointed that Lakewood would not take them back. Medicine intended for people, I understand but not for animals.

I can’t begin to tell you just how impressed we were with Dr. Miller and his team! We took our French Bulldog, Lilo, and her new puppies to them today and they got us in right away for some concerns we had and were so informative and treated our pups with such great care! They answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. We hands down recommend Dr. Miller and his team of superheros to everyone!

The vet is really good at what he does and he keeps you informed about everything that was done and what to expect. Since this pandemic you can't go in with your pet but the vet comes outside and spends plenty of time explaining everything so you know exactly what he did and what you should do at home. My kitty loves this vet. This is Miss Makalya

We brought in our kitty Leo, because he was feeling under the weather. Dr Carter and staff were very professional with handling him during this time. Dr Carter also made a point to come out and talk to us about what he found. We have been going here for years and absolutely love the staff and the way they work with getting us in for an appointment. All the doctors here are great and are very friendly. I recommend Lakewood to all my family and friends.

I have two dogs and two cats, and I will not take them anywhere else. Dr. Miller is a fantastic vet and the staff here is always super friendly. I never have any issues calling in to make appointments. The building is also always super clean. I'm also very happy with how fast I've always gotten test results back. They also always check in to follow up and make sure the animal is doing okay, which is really wonderful! I've been to a few other vet offices where I feel that I am just a paying client and nothing more. I can tell that the staff here really does care for and love animals

I have never been disappointed with the staff at Lakewood Animal Hospital. When being greeted from receptionist, visiting with the nurse to then see the vet has been conducted in a professional way. They take the extra time to get you and your comfortable and confident that all will be well. After Care all is always the next day. I travel about sixty miles to have Harry, are yellow Labador Retriever treated. Dr. Mike and his staff have known us since the car accident in Spring 2017. If you want your pet to get great care make an appointment, you will not be disappointed.

I have been using Lakewood for about 3 years now. At first I was concerned about ONE of the Doctors. He seemed to be in a bad mood. THAT WRITTEN, no one needs to be or should be judged on one or even two encounters. So, I gave the Doctor a chance. I'M VERY GLAD I DIDN'T JUDGE. He has been super helpful, not rushed, and even funny! The care my dog receives has been STELLAR! The Staff , has always been and is currently the best of the best!!! ALWAYS friendly and helpful, and patient with an over protective fur mother who asks too many questions!!! Haha! The Doctors and everyone involved at Lakewood

Was very happy with our check up. My dog has gone a few times now in the last two years. He was a bit nervous not going as often to remember who they are. The vet work very patient with him and understanding with his breed. Even with my dog barking out of nervousness the vet explained reasons to his reactions. Only had so much money towards this visit and the staff was very helpful making sure I had what I needed taken care of. The staff was very friendly quick while being welcoming. Are animals are just like babies and need to get them in and out. Thank you Lakewood for all your help!

Loved our first visit with our new puppy. When we walked in we were greeted with the most friendly faces. I loved that the staff seemed to love their jobs so I knew they would take care of my new baby. I was very satisfied with the cost as well! Very reasonable! I have been to three local offices recently with my cat and never did I get good vibes like I did here. I am so happy I found my fur-ever vet!

Google will not allow poor reviews to show up for this vet. Thank you yelp for allowing not only positive! I've had a bad experience with them recently because of their poor attitudes. I wont be back there for many reasons but I want to keep it short. I do have to say that the vet really cares about the health of your fur baby though, I should bring this up to 2 stars because of this. Good luck with their rudeness though!

I was really nervous about bringing my cat here after my Chicago vet told me that she needed $1,600 dental surgery. However, Dr. Miller took a look at OBC's (cat) teeth and then did a full exam, including her necessary shots. Her general check-up was soooo much more affordable than any vet I visited in Chicago. When Dr. Miller brought the estimate of her dental surgery to me, I almost cried. Because it was so reasonable!! I just picked up my cat today from her procedure. The vet took great care of her and even clipped her claws while she was under. For having three teeth extracted, her gums
